Let’s go Lorelei! We are rooting for you! Triple crown in the open water is pretty cool 😎 as a teenager we might add!

One of the world's toughest swims awaits a Raleigh teen. Seventeen-year-old Raleigh swimmer Lorelei Schmidt will attempt to cross the English Channel Aug. 4. The Broughton High School student has already completed the Catalina Channel in California and the 20 Bridges Swim around Manhattan Island. Now, if she makes it across the ~21-mile stretch between England and France, she'll earn the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. 🏊‍♀️
