SUDEP is when someone with epilepsy, who was otherwise healthy, unexpectedly dies. In SUDEP cases, no other cause of death is found when an autopsy is done.

In this webinar from TSC Alliance, Dr. Crino and Ashley provide an overview of SUDEP, including what you need to know to have informed conversations with your medical team about your/your loved one’s risk. They also share resources for grief support and how you can support TSC research through tissue donation.

Last year, we introduced you to Drs. Avtar Roopra and Olivia Hoffman. Their work is centered on a medication that is already FDA-approved to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

But due to changes in how the National Institute of Health (NIH) awards grants, their work has been hanging in the balance.

Still, curiosity, innovation, and brilliance always finds a way. Watch to hear about what the lab has been up to for the past year, and the exciting places their work is going.

We’ve invested $6M in SUDEP-related grants across the world since 2004. But we didn’t do it alone.

Donors, supporters, patients, families, clinicians, foundations, corporate partners — thousands of individuals have made our pioneering work possible.

In the spirit of togetherness, this month SK Life Science, Inc. is generously matching all gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 in honor of SUDEP Action Day.

That means your gift right now goes twice as far, powering more science.

Together, we are continuing to invest in research, so we can understand who is most at risk and ultimately prevent SUDEP. Join us by making your matched gift here: https://bit.ly/4hxEzV2
