Lung Meridian🫁

The Lung Meridian is one of the 12 primary meridians in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In traditional theory, it is closely associated with respiration, the skin, and the body’s defensive energy.

The Lung Meridian follows a specific pathway down the horse’s forelimb, with acupuncture points located along the way. These points can be incorporated into a treatment based on the individual horse and what they are presenting with.

Rewind to one of my first rehab cases!
𝙉𝙤𝙖𝙝’𝙨 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 ❤️‍🩹

Noah was diagnosed with a 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙚 in early 2023. The outcome was not good. We were all in shock at the site of the first xray and was told its very rare to see a navicular fracture, and even more rare to have it heal without surgery. Because of the limited blood flow to the navicular it’s a low chance of recovery.
He was confined to a stall for over a year & a half then to small turnout & when rechecked his progress was slow. He was still on track to be pasture sound and maybe possibly trail riding at the time before we started with Brooke.

After roughly 6-7 months of bi weekly Acuscope sessions we decided to recheck. Myself and all the vets were in COMPLETE shock.
The fracture NEVER displaced its self (which vets believed it would) and has healed enough to be 𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 to start riding. With the goal eventually to be back to running barrels and good chance to do so.
Noah was given a very poor prognosis originally and was suppose to be only pasture sound but things have changed.
The story has taken a total 180.

One of the features that makes the Acuscope & Myopulse different is their use of biofeedback.

Rather than simply delivering one fixed electrical output, the system is designed to receive information from the tissue and use that information to help configure its output.

𝙄𝙣𝙥𝙪𝙩 — Detect electrical characteristics of the tissue, including impedance.
𝘼𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙯𝙚 — The system processes that information.
𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙥𝙪𝙩— The system uses the information received to the electrical output.

This process continues throughout the session, allowing the output to be continuously variable as the feedback changes.

⚡️ Acuscope uses a square wave output.
⚡️ Myopulse uses a sinusoidal (sine-wave) output.

This feedback based process is referred to as cybernetic technology.
Every horse is different, which is why individualized sessions matter.
