This past week a few of our CFI team members attended the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD) Conference, where they presented, engaged with leading professionals, and learned from the latest research and innovations in the field.

Opportunities like these help us strengthen our knowledge, expand our perspectives, and bring even greater value to the children, families, and communities we serve.

Huge Congrats to Patricia Herbst and Courtney Coleman for presenting their research and publishing their abstract on Barriers to Positivr Risk-Taking in Chlidren with Cerebral Palsy: A Parent Perspective 💚

Plot twist: CFI is’nt just therapy

It’s community, support, new friendships, respite days, fun outings and making memories together! 💙💚

Because while growth happens in therapy, it also happens when you’re exploring your community, trying something new, and sharing moments with people who get you.

Swipe to see some of our favorite moments lately—and all the smiles that camw with them!

Thank you Mental Health Commission of Lyons Township for including us in this initiative!

This April, the LTMHC is recognizing Child Abuse Prevention Month. 💙

Seen here is a photo shared from the Center for Independence in Countryside. Executive Director, Josephine Boggs, has painted one nail blue to represent 1 in 5 children who will experience abuse—children who deserve love, safety, and protection.

We all have a role to play. By raising awareness and supporting families, we can help break the cycle and build a future where every child feels safe and cared for.

It’s your turn - paint one nail blue and tag the Lyons Township Mental Health Commission.

We are proud of our dedicated OT team and the compassionate, creative care they provide to the children and families we serve every day.
