What if imagination isn’t the opposite of research—but one of its instruments? 🔭

This little video is getting a surprisingly strong response, and I think I know why.

We’re accustomed to thinking of imagination as fantasy: something that takes us away from reality. But what happens when we approach it differently?

In mystical research, imagination can become a space for observation, visualization, pattern recognition, hypothesis formation, and exploration.

That doesn’t mean everything imagined becomes evidence.

It means we can ask a much more interesting question:

What happens when we investigate imagination instead of dismissing it?

Where did the information come from?

That may be one of the most important questions we can ask in mystical research.

A dream.
An intuitive impression.
A meditation.
A transmission.
A remembered experience.

Before we decide what any of it means, we need to preserve something more fundamental:

its provenance.

My new clay lecture, Provenance: Why Source Matters in Mystical Research, explores why identifying and preserving the origin, context, and pathway of information matters—especially when we're working with forms of knowledge that don't arrive through traditional academic sources.

This is where mystical experience begins moving from “something happened to me” toward something that can actually be documented and examined.
