I guess I’ll cut out the sleep 🤣🤞 jk jk. Owning a business is no joke as many of my mompreneuer friends know.. but one thing I have learned over the last 5 1/2 years is some weeks you give it all you can, some it’s 50%, some weeks you have 95% and other weeks things just have to take a backseat… especially when life throws you some pretty big curveballs.

Some of our favorite messages have absolutely nothing to do with booking a doula. 🤍

They’re the “is this normal?” texts.
The first birthday pictures.
The “WE FINALLY SLEPT” celebrations.
The random questions months (or years) later because somehow we became the people you knew you could ask.

And our absolute favorite:

“We’re having another baby… are you available?” 🥹

This work is so much more than a shift, a birth or a postpartum package.

We get invited into one of the most tender chapters of a family’s life. We support you in your vulnerable and strong moments, feed you, sit beside you, hold babies at 3 a.m., listen to birth stories, reassure exhausted parents, laugh with you, cry with you and watch you slowly realize you’ve got this.

And then we get the privilege of watching those tiny babies grow.

To our past families: please keep sending the random texts. And especially the baby pictures. We love them more than you know.

Business partners 🤝 best friends who somehow never see each other.

We talk ALL. DAY. LONG. Calls, texts, clients, babies, schedules, doulas, meals, ideas, fires to put out… you name it. 😂

Meanwhile, getting the two of us in the same room feels like a quarterly company event.

One of the biggest hearts behind so much of what we do. Lindsay has the most beautiful soul, an unmatched work ethic, and a way of showing up for our families with so much love, steadiness, and genuine care.

She gives her whole heart to this work—and somehow gives even more to being an incredible mama, wife, friend, and partner.

Building Nested & Nurtured alongside you is one of the greatest gifts. I truly couldn’t ask for a better business partner or person to walk through the beautiful, messy, crazy, middle-of-the-night parts of this work with. 😂
