We tend to think about health in terms of whatโs happening *now* โ our habits, our choices, our relationships, our stress, our environment.
But each of us enters life already connected to a much larger story. ๐ณ
Family history can influence far more than physical characteristics. Patterns of responding to stress, beliefs about ourselves and the world, ways of relating, adapting, coping and surviving can echo through families and across generations.
Sometimes those patterns continue to serve us.
And sometimes what was useful โ or even necessary โ in another time, another place or another generation may no longer be useful now.
โจ This is one of the many ways BodyTalk looks beyond an isolated symptom or individual experience and considers the larger context in which the bodymind exists.
I explore these kinds of influences in several of the advanced BodyTalk courses I teach, including
Mod 6 expands our perspective beyond the individual bodymind to explore some of the larger systems, patterns and influences with which we are continually interacting โ and, importantly, how ๐ฐ๐ react and respond to them.
