Invincible

Invincible We activate self healing for our health-seeking patients, by taking people on a movement journey. Every athlete wants to feel INVINCIBLE.

We provide their ENTIRE body with improved movement through manual therapy & the tools they need to continue optimal movement outside of our clinic. To feel like they can accomplish whatever they want. To become invincible, every athlete must know how to prepare their body in a way that allows them to move properly. They must use this movement to help them perform to their best ability, in whateve

r fitness/sport they choose. They also must be able to give their body TLC in order to recover properly, either from their athletic task or if an injury comes up. This is where I (Dr. Missy Albrecht) can help....

I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from Mount St. Mary's College and was certified through the NSCA in 2008 as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. With a background in coaching soccer and doing personal training at all levels, she received her CrossFit Level 1 and Mobility certification, and began to coach CrossFit in 2010. I have experience working in various outpatient orthopedic clinics, as well as working with athletes on-site at CrossFit Southbay and currently at CrossFit Colfax. Additional areas of study:

Your face, head, and neck don’t exist in isolation. The tissues throughout your upper body are all connected. 🌀

In this clip from our Head + Face + Neck online movement class, we’re using the Coregeous ball to gently glide through the chest and collarbone area, exploring areas of tension and restriction that can influence movement through the upper body.

This simple practice helps create awareness, encourage mobility, and prepare the tissues for the deeper head, face, and neck work explored throughout the class.

If you're looking for guided, at-home classes that blend physical therapy, visceral manipulation, and movement, our online movement library is designed to help you uncover hidden patterns and support better movement, comfort, and function.

Three big influences that got Dr. Beth Anne into this work:

1️⃣ Curiosity that "there had to be more" as a new PT grad
2️⃣ Working with many systems together as an ICU PT
3️⃣ Learning how the pelvic floor muscles are influenced by so much more than just those muscles, through her pelvic health practice
It's been — and continues to be — a FUN journey, being amazed at what human bodies (and their owners) are capable of! ✨

Looking for a physical therapist in Lakewood, CO? Dr. Beth Anne is now taking new patients. Her approach blends hands-on manual therapy with visceral, neuro and vascular manipulation to help restore movement and address the underlying cause of your symptoms.

When treating diastasis recti, we have to look beyond the surface of the abdominal wall.

During pregnancy, the linea alba — the connective tissue between the abdominal muscles — naturally stretches as the baby grows. But when that area doesn’t come back together postpartum, it’s important to consider what else may be contributing.

The abdomen is a complex system of muscles, organs, and connective tissues that all influence pressure and function. When we assess diastasis recti, we look at how restrictions in the deeper tissues connecting to the organs may be adding pressure and limiting recovery.

With visceral manipulation, we address these deeper restrictions to improve the relationship between the abdominal wall, connective tissue, and internal organs — helping reduce the factors that may be preventing the abdominal wall from recovering.

If you’re navigating postpartum recovery and looking for comprehensive care that addresses the underlying factors contributing to dysfunction, our physical therapists at Invincible Physical Therapy in Lakewood, Colorado are here to support you. 🤍

You love using your gorgeous ball on your belly... but are you using it on your rib cage?

For the entire body to be in balance — both from an organ standpoint and a movement standpoint — we need the rib cage and thoracic spine to be free and mobile.

The thoracic spine and rib cage actually require more mobility compared to the lumbar and cervical spine, which need more stability.

When the thoracic spine and rib cage can't move well, the lumbar and cervical areas often become hypermobile, trying to compensate for that lack of mobility — which over time makes them less stable.

Rolling your rib cage with the Coregeous ball is a great practice to restore that mobility in the area 🎾

📍Based in Lakewood, Colorado, we’re a physical therapy clinic helping patients improve mobility, reduce compensation patterns, and restore more efficient movement.

Still carrying tension from a tailbone fall you had years ago? 🤕

In this clip from our Fall on Tailbone (Part 2) class, we're using Yoga Tune Up balls to gently release the tissues surrounding the sacrum and glutes while adding simple leg movements to encourage healthy nerve mobility.

By combining gentle pressure with movement, you can help reduce protective muscle guarding, improve circulation, and restore more comfortable movement throughout the pelvis and lower back.

If you're looking for guided, at-home classes that combine physical therapy, visceral manipulation, and movement to address the root cause of pain and restriction, our online movement library is designed to help you move with more ease.

Hernias are multifactorial, which means there's rarely just one thing causing the problem.

Recovery isn't just about the hernia itself—it's about restoring balanced pressure throughout the body at rest. That may include manual therapy, breathing retraining, muscle activation, and in some cases, surgery.

From there, the focus shifts to helping the body move well again by learning how to manage pressure during everyday activities, lifting, exercise, and sport. That's what supports long-term recovery.

Hernia rehabilitation is about more than healing the hernia itself. Our physical therapists in Lakewood, Colorado can help restore breathing mechanics, improve pressure management, retrain movement patterns, and support recovery before and after hernia surgery.

A sneaky way to get in chest opening + upper back strengthening throughout the day 👏🏼

If you spend a lot of time in front-facing positions (desk, phone, driving, lifting), this is a simple one to sprinkle in.

Use a yoga block, book, or even a tissue box — the key is to keep your palms pressing into the object the entire time.

📌 Save this for later!

Our physical therapists in Lakewood, Colorado combine manual therapy with personalized movement to address tension from the inside out — getting to the root of why your body holds it and creating healthy habits to feel better.

Our hands have learned to listen.

The level of detail the body can communicate to sensitized, trained hands is mind-blowing. Manual therapy isn't just movement—it's a conversation between practitioner and tissue, built on intention, attention, and the specificity Jean Pierre Barral's work is really about.

When you pay attention deeply enough, your hands become translators of the body's needs 🤲

If you're searching for a physical therapist in Lakewood, CO who specializes in manual therapy and visceral manipulation, we're here to help your body communicate and move more freely.
