NEW REIKI RESEARCH
Reiki & Chronic Knee Osteoarthritis
We get so excited when new research into Reiki and healthcare is published, and we’re going to be sharing new research, insights and developments regularly to help build awareness of what is being discovered about Reiki in medicine. 💙
Here’s one that caught our attention…
A new randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving 164 adults with chronic knee osteoarthritis found that Reiki significantly improved symptoms compared with a waitlist control.
55% of Reiki participants experienced a clinically meaningful reduction in symptoms, a reduction of more than 30%.
The results were comparable to mindfulness meditation.
Participants received just four 30-minute sessions.
The study also included a sham Reiki (Feiki) group, adding another important piece of evidence to the growing body of Reiki research.
We love seeing research like this emerging, and we’ll continue to share the latest studies and insights as we work to support greater understanding of Reiki within healthcare and integrative medicine.
