The volunteer-based Family Support Program is dedicated to caring for, serving, and lightening the burden of the Duke PTCT community.

We are a non-profit organization that provides assistance and support to the patients and families of the Duke PTCT program. Our program is self-supporting; we are not funded by any hospital or organization.

2️⃣ See something you like? Great! You have two options:
Log in with an existing GiveButter account and join ROH Auction 2026
No GiveButter account? No problem. Create a new account: bit.ly/rohauctionregister

3️⃣ Mark your calendar
🟢 Bidding opens: Thursday, September 24 at 9:00 AM
🔴 Bidding closes: Saturday, September 26 at 12:00 PM

4️⃣ Place your bids for favorite items while bidding is live. You’ll receive text alerts if you’re outbid, so you can jump back in and keep bidding.

Mailable Items:
Over 50 items can be mailed - perfect for supporters who aren’t attending in person!
Check the item description for “Item can be mailed.”
If you win an item that is mailable and aren’t at the Walk, FSP will contact you following the ROH Walk for details.

Winning items, gift cards, and certificates will be available for pickup at the ROH Auction Tent when lunch begins, following the Moment of Honor.
Items cannot be picked up during laps, presentations, or the Moment of Honor.

🌈 Yesterday, we celebrated Rainbow Day! 🌈

There’s something special about seeing our community all wearing their 2026 Rainbow of Heroes Walk T-shirts. These shirts are more than just your average t-shirt. They remind us of the heroes we carry with us, the families who have become part of our PTCT family, and the incredible love and support that surrounds this community. ❤️

✨Saturday, September 26, 2026 -- we're calling it our Golden Birthday Celebration! ✨

🎪 10 AM–12 PM: Carnival-style activities, games, food, kids' raffle, impressive silent auction, and fun for the whole family
🚶 12 PM–2 PM: Patient and family photo, walking laps, celebrating our heroes, and a special Moment of Honor recognizing the incredible children, families, and community who make up PTCT. Ending with a delicious lunch provided by Danny's BBQ!

Whether you’ve been part of Rainbow of Heroes for 26 years or this will be your very first Walk, there is a place for you here. 🌈

We kicked off September with Rainbow of Heroes (ROH) Walk Spirit Month! 🎉 We’re excited for fun weekly themes as we count down to one of our favorite days of the year — the Rainbow of Heroes Walk on Saturday, Sept. 26! 🌈

And with the FSP team together for Tropical Week, it’s the perfect chance to introduce the newest member of our crew! Michelle Slover, our FSP Coordinator, joined us in May and has jumped right in, bringing such great energy to our team. We’re so happy to have her with us for her first ROH Walk and to officially welcome her to the PTCT community in full ROH spirit! 🌈🌴

We can’t wait to honor our heroes all month long!

Today is Janet’s last day with the Family Support Program as she begins her retirement. We are thankful for her dedication and the countless families she’s supported along the way. As we come to the end of this year, we invite you to gently slow down and notice. Notice the moments, both quiet and meaningful, that have shaped the months behind us. The shared laughter and tears, the presence offered during hard days, and the simple acts of care that reminded families they were not alone. This year held many such moments, including the 25th Annual Rainbow of Heroes Walk, a milestone inviting us to notice the compassion and commitment at the heart of this community. 🌈

Throughout the year, your support has continued to be a steady light. Because of you, families navigating challenging journeys felt seen, supported, and held. Every step taken, every encouraging word offered, and every act of generosity mattered.
