Thoughts I had on the beach this afternoon.
I fully believe hard times are a call to meet your highest self.

Not the version of you who stayed small to keep the peace.
Not the version who needed someone else’s validation.
Not the version who ignored her own intuition.

But the version who rises.
Who heals.
Who chooses herself.
Who turns pain into wisdom, boundaries, purpose, and strength.

Sometimes the greatest transformation begins with the moment you finally realize that what challenged you does not get to define your future. Who agrees?

🩷 THEN & NOW 🩷

I think one of the greatest gifts of life is the journey of becoming who you truly are & learning to love yourself along the way.

The little girl on the left was me on my first day of first grade. I had Mrs. Holmes, and somehow I still remember the names of so many of my teachers and classmates.

Now, almost 49, I look at her and wonder how life moved so quickly. She had no idea what was ahead of her. The beautiful moments, the heartbreak, the lessons, the growth, and all the chapters still to come.

I’m incredibly grateful for all of it.

Life is not perfect. I’ve learned that being a deep feeler can be both a gift and a challenge. But after 21 years of learning, growing, and doing the work, I’ve finally accepted that life can hold struggle and sadness right alongside love, gratitude, kindness, laughter, and joy.

I’ve also learned that I won’t always be liked, understood, or loved by everyone and I realize that it is okay. As a recovering people pleaser, I’m learning that loving myself and staying true to who I am matters more.

This next chapter feels exciting. New projects, new dreams, continuing to build my gym and my love of wellness and so much more to come this Fall.

So here’s your reminder:

Life is short. Love deeply. Stay open. Surround yourself with people who love you as much as you love them. And never stop becoming.

I think that little girl would be pretty proud of how far we’ve come. 🩷

7 years ago today we left for the first retreat of many. A few months before I decided to take a leap of faith & start a new business running retreats and workshops that incorporate mind, body & soul wellness. Something that was well over a decade in the making. Attending my first spiritual retreat alone in March of 2006 at 28 years old, I knew in the future I wanted to run my own. I asked a friend if she wanted to be a part of it and she accepted. Then there were many more amazing women & wellness practitioners that helped me run these experiences. Over the past 7 years I have run over 50 day workshops for women & girls, well over 30 retreats in Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Italy, Portugal, France & Greece. I have seen places I would not been able to, met well over 1,000 women & girls & learned A LOT about people mostly good & some not so good. I have watched amazing friendships blossom, some change or end & a hell of a lot of growth for myself and many others. I don’t say this to toot my own horn, I say it because it changed my life. It got me through the hardest time in my life & it has taught me more skills than any other experiences in my life. I have had to trust myself & others a lot. I have made such amazing connections & had so much help by other women along the way as we pulled these off. I got to experience building Hope Haven in Plymouth before my life changed taking on a big gym to run. I got to show my children hard work, helping others & some VERY hard times. I am so grateful for these times & the amazing people who trusted me & helped me organize and run these.
As my life continues to change so do my businesses. I am excited for the last 2 retreats coming up in September & May before I step away for a bit to focus on some other things. I will continue to have the podcast in the mean time but very excited for some other opportunities that are coming up.
Thank you to all the amazing women that have helped me grow in mind, body & spirit. These past 7 years have been the biggest growth moments in my life & I can’t wait for the future of The HOPE Experience in other ways. Forever grateful 🌸🩷🙏
