🎉🔑 A DAY THAT MADE UCP+ CENTRAL CALIFORNIA HISTORY! 🔑🎉

August 3, 2026 marked a monumental new chapter for UCP+ Central California as we welcomed our members through the doors of their new home for the very first time! 💙💛

After years of planning, dreaming, building, and believing in what was possible, the moment finally arrived. Our members entered a new 40,000+ square-foot campus created with accessibility, opportunity, independence, and belonging at its very foundation. 🏠♿️✨

This wasn’t simply the opening of a new building. It was the beginning of a transformational new era for UCP+ and the people we serve throughout Central California.

From wider accessible doorways and dedicated changing rooms to our Teaching Kitchen, Pottery Studio, performance spaces, classrooms, Student Lounge, art galleries and so much more, this campus represents what can happen when a community comes together with a shared vision for the future. 🙌

And on Opening Day, the people who matter most finally got to call it HOME. 💙

But what makes this moment especially meaningful is what he has to say after seeing it.

🚪Every room, every accessible feature, and every new opportunity inside our campus exists because people believed our members deserved a place designed with them in mind.

Today, he gets to see the pottery studio for the first time. Soon, it will be filled with clay, creativity, laughter, and artwork created by our members. 🏺🙌

💙 A Handshake That Said It All
After years of dreaming, planning, fundraising, designing, and building, the doors to the new UCP+ Central California Fresno campus finally opened to the people it was created for—our members.
On that first day August 3, 2026, there was a moment that captured the meaning of this milestone in the simplest and most powerful way.
As one UCP+ member entered the new campus for the very first time, he approached Executive Director Roger Slingerman, reached out his hand, shook Roger’s hand, and thanked him.
It was a brief exchange, but behind that handshake were years of work and a future filled with new possibilities.
For Roger and the entire UCP+ team, this is what the journey was always about: creating a place intentionally designed for our members—a place where accessibility is built into the environment and where people can learn, create, connect, build independence, and unlock their potential.
It was a moment we will never forget.
A new campus. A heartfelt thank-you. One handshake that represented years of determination—and the beginning of everything still to come.

🎶 UCP+ First Choir Class on Our Brand-New Stage! 💙🎤
Today marked a beautiful first at UCP+ Central California as our choir instructor welcomed members onto our brand-new performance stage for their very first choir class meeting on the new UCP+! Campus! 🌟
For our instructor, music is about so much more than singing. It's about building confidence, creating friendships, encouraging self-expression, and giving every member the opportunity to shine. ❤️ Every rehearsal is filled with laughter, encouragement, and moments that remind us of the incredible power of music to bring people together.
🎶 Our new indoor performance stage was intentionally designed to give our members a place to perform, celebrate their talents, and experience the joy of being in the spotlight. Watching this first choir class take the stage was a reminder that this campus isn't just a building—it's a place where dreams, creativity, and confidence can grow.
Thank you to our amazing instructor for sharing your passion, your heart, and your love of music with our members every single day. 🎶 Because of educators like you, lives are being enriched one song at a time. 🎵💙
