Together, Hāpai a Hānai honors the belief that healthy families are built through strong communities, shared knowledge, and collective care.

We look forward to gathering with you this month as we continue to nourish families, celebrate community, and create spaces where everyone feels supported and connected.

🌿 From the Marathon of May into June 🌿

May may be mental health awareness month, but truly it can feel like a marathon.

Between graduations, end-of-school celebrations, changing routines, summer planning, work responsibilities, caregiving, and simply keeping up with daily life, many of us have been carrying a lot.

As we move into June, we want to offer something different. True care for our mental health.

A pause.

A place to reconnect.

A reminder that we were never meant to do this alone.

At Pacific Birth Collective, we believe that mental health is community health. Healing doesn’t only happen in appointments or therapy offices. It happens when we gather together, share stories, receive support, hold one another through transitions, and create space to simply be human.

Throughout the month of June, Wellness Wednesdays will offer opportunities to slow down, re-ground, and receive care through:

✨ Community circles and grounding practices
✨ Nourishing snacks and refreshments
✨ Baby holders available so caregivers can fully participate
✨ Acupuncture, Reiki, Lomi Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and other healing modalities
✨ Free womb wrapping sessions offered by The Womb Garden students

Every Wednesday in Haiku, from 10am- 12pm

We also want to recognize the incredible birth workers, doulas, midwives, lactation counselors, postpartum workers, bodyworkers, and community healers who hold so much for others every day.

As a small gesture of appreciation, Wellness Wednesday attendance will be FREE for birth workers and community practitioners that are listed on the PBC Directory, throughout the month of June.

This month, our invitation is simple:

🌱 Re-ground.
🌱 Re-village.
🌱 Reconnect.
🌱 Receive care.

Because caring for ourselves is part of caring for our community.

Space is limited and registration is encouraged.

We hope you’ll join us as we move from the intensity of May into a season of restoration, connection, and collective wellness.

Birth is not the time to be hearing information for the very first time.

Whether you are planning a hospital birth or homebirth, quality birth education can completely transform the experience for both the birthing person and their partner. Studies show that childbirth education and continuous support can reduce fear, improve confidence, lower intervention rates, and increase satisfaction with the birth experience. Having a prepared support person has also been shown to improve outcomes and emotional wellbeing during labor and postpartum.

Our goal is to help families walk into birth feeling informed, empowered, connected, and supported — not overwhelmed and trying to make major decisions under pressure.

This immersive one-day workshop is designed to give you hands-on education, practical tools, and real preparation for labor, birth, and postpartum care. Together we explore:

✨ Comfort measures & partner support✨ Spinning Babies inspired techniques & positioning✨ Mindfulness, movement, and nervous system support✨ Understanding hospital procedures & informed decision making✨ Birth preferences planning✨ Postpartum preparation & creating your “solar system of care”✨ Physical and emotional preparation for labor✨ Practical tools for both homebirth and hospital birth families

You’ll leave with:✔️ A personalized birth preferences guide✔️ A postpartum support plan✔️ Supply lists and preparation tools✔️ Confidence and connection as a team✔️ An 80-page workbook to continue using at home as a lifelong reference

And yes — we make it FUN, interactive, grounded, and deeply supportive. 💛

🗓 NEXT WORKSHOP: This Saturday⏰ 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM📍 One-day immersive birth education workshop

Come prepare your mind, body, relationship, and support system for one of the most important transitions of your life.

Your love, guidance, strength, and care create the foundation of our families and communities. Thank you for holding space, offering support, and nurturing the next generation with so much aloha.

This past week has been filled with so much joy and connection across our island communities — from self-care bag and Instapot giveaways in Lahaina with , to pizza parties in Paia with , our clothing swap in Haʻikū, and beautiful Mother’s Day baby shower in Wailuku with . Seeing families come together in celebration, support, and community care has been such a gift.

Mahalo to every single person who showed up, volunteered, donated, shared resources, laughed, connected, and made these gatherings so special. We are endlessly grateful for this community.

As we move into the year ahead, we hope we can continue remembering that caring for ourselves is just as important as caring for others. May we continue creating space for rest, nourishment, joy, healing, and connection together.
