One good training day and suddenly every goal feels achievable 😂

What's the most delusional thing you've thought after a PR or workout win? I'll go first:

"I think I could podium." 🤣

Back to the Barbell: Episode 2 🏋️‍♀️

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that getting back to lifting means doing a bunch of random rehab exercises and hoping for the best.

The first 2 months of this phase were all about building the foundation.

Not Ground Breaking. Not complicated.

Just focusing on the things that would give me the biggest return:
✅ Improving mobility where I needed it
✅ Building strength in positions I wasn't confident in
✅ Increasing tolerance to load
✅ Creating a body that could handle more training later

A lot of people want to skip straight to the heavy lifting. But the athletes who stay healthy long-term understand that what happens *before* the bar gets heavy matters just as much.

The screenshot at the end is exactly what that looked like for me.

What you'll notice is that none of these exercises are magical. The magic is having the right exercises for the right person at the right time.

That's the same approach I use with my clients every day.

Next episode: how I started transitioning from rebuilding capacity to chasing performance again 💪

Most barbell athletes don’t just fear pain.

They fear losing the version of themselves that trains hard.

That’s why generic rehab often fails lifters.

Because the goal was never just:
“reduce symptoms.”

The goal was:

deadlift confidently again
stop modifying every workout
trust their shoulder overhead
stop thinking about pain every training session
feel like an athlete again

The best rehab plans don’t remove athletes from training forever.

They progressively rebuild capacity FOR training.

If your pain keeps interrupting training, but you’re not ready to give up the gym, there’s usually a better option than complete rest.

DM me “BARBELL” if this sounds like you.

One of the biggest mistakes I see lifters make during rehab?

Treating rehab and training like two completely separate things.

If you’re a powerlifter, CrossFitter, or Olympic lifter… your body needs to tolerate:

force
speed
fatigue
positions
load
intensity

So if your rehab only consists of clamshells, bands, and avoiding pain forever…you’re probably never rebuilding true confidence under the bar.

Good rehab should progressively prepare you for the exact demands of your sport.

That doesn’t mean ignoring pain.
And it definitely doesn’t mean maxing out through injuries.

It means bridging the gap between rehab and performance the right way.

The goal isn’t just “feeling better.”

The goal is trusting your body when the weight gets heavy again.

DM me “BARBELL” if your pain keeps interfering with training.

Your pain probably isn’t showing up because lifting is “bad.”

It’s showing up because nobody has shown you how to train around it without losing progress.

I work with CrossFitters, powerlifters, and barbell athletes who are tired of:

* constantly modifying workouts
* restarting after flare-ups
* avoiding movements they used to love
* feeling nervous under heavy weight

The goal isn’t just pain relief.

The goal is confidence under the bar again.

If you’re an active lifter dealing with recurring pain and want to keep training while fixing the issue, send me the word “BARBELL.”

Back to the Barbell: Episode 1 🏋️‍♀️

One thing I’ll never ask my clients to do is navigate setbacks, pain, or rebuilding alone… because I’ve been there too.

This series is going to be a behind-the-scenes look at my own training, goals, struggles, and the exact principles I use both personally and with my clients to stay strong, resilient, and confident under the bar.

Because rehab and performance shouldn’t feel separate. The goal isn’t just to get out of pain—it’s to build a body that can keep doing hard things long term.

Excited to bring you guys along for the process 💪

Nothing is more frustrating than finally getting momentum in the gym… just for your shoulder or back pain to flare up again.

You shouldn’t have to choose between training hard and feeling good. Reviews like this are exactly why I built this practice 💪

If you’re tired of the cycle of pain → modify → repeat, link in bio to book.

🚀 We’re Hiring!
Rocket City Performance Therapy is growing and we’re looking for our next teammate.

We’re searching for a DPT who loves working with the lifting/strength community and has experience in pelvic floor treatment. This is a mobile, concierge-style position — meaning you get to work one-on-one, intentionally, and actually treat the whole person without the burnout pace.

We’re a small (but mighty) team of two and we care a lot about providing care that’s personal, evidence-informed, and empowering.

If you’re passionate about strength, pelvic health, and meeting clients where they are (literally), we’d love to meet you.

Let’s make movement feel strong again. 💪✨
