One of the health hacks making the rounds lately is giving up coffee………..
And while we’re all for finding what works best for your body, let’s talk about what caffeine is actually doing in the brain.
Caffeine can increase alertness and support low beta brain wave activity, which is associated with focus, motivation, drive, and mental energy. In other words, it helps many people go from “please don’t talk to me” to “let’s get things done.” Hahahah
Of course, too much caffeine isn’t always a good thing. Some people are more sensitive to it and may experience anxiety, jitters, or sleep disruptions.
But if your morning coffee helps you feel focused, motivated, and energized, there’s actually some brain science behind why.
So before you break up with coffee because social media told you to… remember that your brain may have a different opinion. 😏☕️🧠
