Have you ever met your twin flame, but it’s actually because you have opposite brains? 🧠🧠

I can’t tell you how many brain maps we have done on couples and you can literally see why they are attracted to another. It’s like the Yin Yang effect, but from a neurological standpoint.

Even though everyone thinks we are twins, our brain patterns are actually very different from one another. I am the Adhd Brain with tons of creative theta activity and Angie has a ton of high Beta. After having a school fracture, brain injury, where she experienced some neurO inflammation, she not only had to relearn how to walk, but she ended up struggling with anxiety because of it.

Myself on the other hand has always gone between brain states which can mimic bipolar disorder. However, as you pull back the layers, what is left predominantly in my brain is an ADHD pattern. Now, both of us have trained our brain enough to have a lot of neurological flexibility, and our brains know how to move in and out of different physiological states exceptionally well. Because of that post traumatic brain injury, symptoms, and ADHD symptoms are not in the driver seat.

It is super enjoyable to talk about blind spots and strengths with your best friend in the form of brain waves, I’m not gonna lie. Maybe we tend to psychoanalyze everything too much, but I can tell you I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lol.

Your nervous system is constantly adapting to the world around you — stress, sleep, emotions, focus, and recovery all shape how your brain and body function. Brain wave training (also known as neurofeedback) is a non-invasive approach designed to help the brain build healthier, more regulated patterns for improved nervous system balance. 🧠✨

Research has shown potential benefits including:
• Reduced stress and anxiety
• Improved emotional regulation
• Better sleep quality
• Enhanced focus and cognitive performance
• Increased resilience and relaxation

By training the brain to recognize and shift into more optimal states, neurofeedback may support long-term nervous system regulation and overall well-being.

The brain can change. Healing and regulation are possible. 🌿

Are therapists and neuro specialists hypocrites or what?!?

How much easier is it to give the info than it is to follow it? How much easier it is to have the information than to build a habit around it?

There are so many things in life when it comes to relationships, our health, our nervous system that we probably know what we SHOULD do for ourselves but then we find ourselves doing the same silly habit that we know we need to break

From coffee on an empty stomach in the morning, to avoiding our childhood wounds that are holding us back- CHANGE IS HARD! If you really want to change, but you have been doing the same habits for years after years, it is not just a habit that has to change but an actual neurological highway.

It’s almost as if you have to learn a new language in your life. And how hard is it to learn a new language? Is it possible? Absolutely! But it is going to take time and dedication.

This is what Brain changes all about. Repeating a new process over and over and over again until you create a new neurological ability. We see it with our clients all the time, when their brain is more flexible, habit change becomes attainable.

utilizing neurO feedback therapy you can create change more quickly because your brain is being rewarded when it is doing what you want to.

Most people think these headbands and brain map caps shock brain activity or put waves into the brain! Let’s talk about what really happening!

The Brain Self-Regulates so Neurofeedback operates more like:

* physical therapy for the brain,
* meditation training,
* or learning an instrument.

The brain is rewarded for certain activity patterns and gradually learns to reproduce them.

Because the brain is actively participating rather than being overridden, changes tend to be:

* gradual,
* adaptive,
* and reversible if training stops prematurely

This reduces the chance of abrupt or unfavorable effects
Most Side Effects Are Functional, Not Structural

When side effects do occur, they’re usually temporary and mild, such as:

* fatigue,
* headaches,
* irritability,
* vivid dreams,
* emotional sensitivity,
* temporary anxiety,
* or feeling “foggy.”

Think of how you feel after a hard workout or a long day in the classroom. Neurofeedback isn’t easy for the brain it is learning an entire new skill so treating your brain with extra love before and after training is ideal!

The Brain Has Built-In Stability Mechanisms

The nervous system naturally resists extreme destabilization. Neurofeedback usually nudges regulation rather than forcing radical changes.

In neuroscience terms:

* the brain maintains homeostasis,
* and neurofeedback works within those adaptive boundaries.

🧠✨ What Your Brain Focuses On Grows ✨🧠

Your brain is constantly wiring itself around what you repeatedly think about. And let me tell you, often times our brain can actually be a very dark place!!!!

Focus on stress, fear, and negativity — and your brain strengthens those pathways.

Focus on gratitude, hope, and possibility — and your brain begins to build resilience, optimism, and emotional balance.

Research in neuroplasticity shows that the brain physically changes based on repeated thoughts and experiences. Gratitude practices have been linked to:

✔️ Reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression
✔️ Lower stress hormone levels
✔️ Improved sleep and emotional regulation
✔️ Increased dopamine and serotonin activity
✔️ Stronger resilience during difficult seasons

In one study from UC Davis, participants who regularly practiced gratitude reported significantly greater happiness and lower levels of stress compared to those who focused on hassles or complaints.

Another study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that gratitude activates areas of the brain associated with emotional processing, reward, and connection — helping retrain the brain toward healthier emotional patterns.

Gratitude doesn’t erase pain.
But it changes what the mind rehearses.
And what the mind rehearses… the brain reinforces.

At Braincode, we believe healing begins when we learn to direct our focus intentionally. Small daily practices can create powerful long-term change.

Today’s reminder:
🌱 What you water will grow.
Choose carefully where your attention goes.
