This is a very casual and supportive meet up—all levels of tarot readers welcome (even if you know nothing about tarot but are curious!). The only requirement is that you come with an open heart and an open mind. 🪄

So happy to announce that our next TAROT CLUB will officially be held at The Night Temple in Hollywood! It’s just a few minutes west of our former meeting spot and a beautiful space (easy parking, too)! 💫

We’ll continue on third Thursdays, making SEPTEMBER 17TH our next meeting, so mark your calendar! We’ll start at 6pm and wrap up at 8pm. Come by anytime and stay as long as you like! 🖤

This club is open to all levels, including professional readers and those who are simply curious. The main focus is community, so come with an open mind and an open heart—you might make a friend or learn something new. 🗝️

Today was the last day of , and I stopped by to say bye and take home the giant pentacle that we’ve been using for moon circles (and that Vicky is donating to us to continue gathering around). I kept thinking of my neighbors seeing me lugging this giant pentagram into my apartment just shaking their heads saying “this bitch…😒” 😂

But I couldn’t do it. (Don’t worry I’ll get it later).
I stood in the middle of the packed shoppe and lost it. Finally burst into tears over this. I can’t begin to explain what this place has meant to me as a resident tarot reader for the last four years, and what Vicky’s friendship means to me. I’ll never know someone who looks out for me, supports me, and champions every attempt I make at whatever I’m doing the way she does. And I know she feels this way toward all her loved ones and clients. She has been a guide and a light for so many in the LA community. I love you and Vincent so much Vicky, and I’m so grateful for you holding the torch for Panpipes.

The story of Pan’s Apothika aka Panpipes begins in 1961 when the Ram Occult Center opened in Hollywood. There’s not a ton of information about this shop online (Vicky has promised to write all of this history down), but the men who ran it formed The Brotherhood of the Ram, a satanic cult, just around the time (actually just before) Anton LaVey was doing his thing in SF (Lavey was definitely friends with them). In 1984, the Ram Occult Center caught fire and burned down (right around the time of the Satanic Panic), and some of the workers opened Panpipes Magickal Marketplace on Cahuenga. Panpipes had various owners throughout the years (famously including Fairuza Balk), but Vicky worked there in the 90s and has owned it since 2000. In 2018, she moved it to a smaller location in East Hollywood, calling it Pan’s Apothika (but it has always been Panpipes).

When I say it’s been an honor to be a reader there, this is what I mean. True LA occult history resides in those walls. If you know me, I’m fascinated by ‘60s and ‘70s occult history (especially in LA). Panpipes is once again changing, but rest assured it lives on and will not go anywhere anytime soon. 🖤

We’ve arrived. Tonight, eclipse season comes to a close. 🖤

Eclipses are powerful portals that show us what needs to be released in order to step through and come out the other side, where our dreams and manifestations of who we want to be and what we want are waiting for us. 🕯️

The moon speaks to us through our emotions, so a lot of situations may have arisen these last 2 weeks that bring up tough and complicated feelings. It’s all information. Don’t be afraid of them, use them for your benefit. What is coming to a close, what is ready to be released? Most importantly, how do you WANT to feel? 🌕

(Side note: as portals that transform us, death is often inevitable as we’ve seen several powerful people transition this week 🕊️)

As you may have heard, P△N'S △PO☩HIK△ : P△NPIPES and the P△N'S △PO☩HIK△ △NNEXE willP△N'S △PO☩HIK△ △NNEXEcation at the end of the month and restructuring business (please see Vicky’s post that I have reposted).

This is a tough post to make. I have so much to say about it this space, about Vicky, and about the future, that I’ll need to make a couple more posts.

In the meantime, this one will just be regarding the future of 𝕾𝖚𝖓𝖉𝖔𝖜𝖓 𝕿𝖆𝖗𝖔𝖙 🏜 | 𝕬𝖓𝖓 𝕰𝖑𝖎𝖟𝕾𝖚𝖓𝖉𝖔𝖜𝖓 𝕿𝖆𝖗𝖔𝖙 🏜 | 𝕬𝖓𝖓 𝕰𝖑𝖎𝖟𝖆 🖤readings for those wondering what will happen with those.

This Thursday, 8/13 will be my LAST DAY reading tarot in the shoppe. 💔 Please DM or email me, or text/call the shoppe (323-891-5936) to book. If you’ve been meaning to come see me for a reading here, I highly recommend booking ASAP as this is your last chance.

After 8/13, all private tarot readings will transition to Zoom or phone ONLY for the foreseeable future. 🔮 Please reach out if you have questions about how that works!
