♊️ GEMINI SEASON ♊️
Gemini is a mutable air sign and and embodies the energies of communication, investigating truth, and discovering new perspectives. This sign is represented by the twins: the immortal Castor and the mortal Pollux (representing the two different realms of the physical and spiritual planes). We find these themes beautifully portrayed in the card associated with Gemini season, THE LOVERS. M;
We see that the “twins” in this case are two lovers; a female figure on the left and a male figure on the right, resembling Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The woman gazes upward toward the angel Raphael while the man gazes straight ahead, representing the feminine energy of receptivity and intuition and the masculine energy of action and the physical realm. The mountain between them can be seen as a problem, or impasse, and the two lovers have different perspectives on how to overcome this problem. The female figure stands in front of the Tree of Knowledge while the male figure is in front of the Tree of Life. Raphael oversees and blesses all points of view, riding in on a cloud that represents thought and mental clarity associated with the air element. The sun shines brightly above; there is harmony and a solution when all perspectives are considered. 🕊️
There is an alchemical theme to this card as well as Mercury (or Hermes) rules Gemini, this messenger between realms is also known as the Magician, and the MAGICIAN tarot card is also associated with Gemini-in fact we see the snake in the LOVERS card coiled around the Magician’s waist.
