You guys know I love to move and get my groove on. 💃 It is in my blood.
When I was 11 my family founded HappyFeet DJ, a traveling disc jockey company out of Windsor, Wi.
The business grew really, really fast and I spent the majority of my time when away from school, working in the disc jockey business or one of my other jobs once I was older.
We were the disc jockey at my Junior Prom at DeForest High School. Class of 95.
At each function, I had to go and break the ice with the guests and ask if they had any special requests. It never failed, they would always look at me like I had 10 heads.
I was the one who had to be the first on the dance floor to get everyone warmed up.
What an wild ride each and every show I was. I was so young and impressionable stepping into my power and courage.
I honestly dreaded that part of taking requests and having to confidently approach these strangers, who were all adults, at a very young age.
I had to get out of my own way in order to help each and every person have a memorable and blessed experience at their special event. I took away so much from my experience as a Disc Jockey and I’m grateful for my unique life.
Who any has any HappyFeet DJ memories? I would love to hear from you.
