Our volunteers are such an important part of what makes Guiding Star Marshalltown possible. They give their time, their talents, and their hearts to help create a place where women and families feel supported and cared for.

If you have a heart for moms and babies, and a little extra free time, we would love to have you join our volunteer team. Shifts are once a week for only three hours!

What if one evening could change everything? ✨

What if one evening could open someone’s eyes to the stories, struggles, and hope that exist within our community?

Each year, the Aligning the Stars Charity Gala brings people together to share the heart of Guiding Star Marshalltown. The stories behind our mission, the lives impacted through our work, and the importance of continuing this mission.

Join us for the 5th Annual Aligning the Stars Charity Gala on Thursday, October 8th, at Midnight Garden at 6:00 PM.

We are honored to welcome Representative Brett Barker as our keynote speaker and Pastor Sarah Trosen as our testimony speaker. They will share their families’ personal adoption journeys and the profound impact that love, support, and community can have on children and families.

Wondering WHO can use Aggie's Closet? 🤰💫

If you are on WIC, SNAP, or Medicaid & have a Valid Photo ID, then you are eligible to get essential items at our free mom and baby closet. If you are under 18 and are not enrolled in one of the above assistance programs, exceptions may be made.

How does it work? Just stop in during our open hours, (make sure to bring proof of assistance and your ID), and a volunteer will get you set up to use the closet.

You can come back every 4 weeks as needed, for more essentials!

Wondering what your night at The Aligning the Stars Charity Gala will look like? ✨

Start off the evening gathering with community members, enjoy drinks (each seat purchased receives two drink tickets), peruse the wonderful items for our silent auction, then you'll want to settle into your tables as dinner is near... 🍽️

After your three-course meal, you'll hear from our outstanding speakers, Representative Brett Barker and Children’s & Family Pastor, Sarah Trosen.

Brett will be sharing about his personal experience with adoption and foster care, and the impact it has. Similarly, Sarah will be sharing her family’s foster and adoption experience, but relating it to how she uses her story to serve families as a Guiding Star Marshalltown Partner.

There may be a few surprises tucked in there, but this should give you a good idea of what's to come. 😉

Each year is a little different, but always as special as the last. If you've been before, you'll want to join us again! ✨

Modern Womanhood: Embracing Your Feminine Genius is an engaging, one-hour educational workshop led by Laura Ducote, FNP-C, FCP, designed for menstruating teens 16+, young adult women, and couples who want to better understand the incredible design of the female body.

We are looking for an individual to lead a postpartum support group for Guiding Star Marshalltown. The group will provide a safe space for moms and babies, encourage sharing and conversation, teach practical skills, build connection, normalize postpartum challenges, and create a welcoming environment. 💫🤰

Are you a mother in need of a little extra help? 💫💓

At Aggie's Closet we provide diapers, wipes, diaper cream, baby clothes up to size 4T, maternity clothes, strollers, cribs, and even more!

We're open Monday through Thursday from 10AM to 4PM. We just ask that you bring proof of WIC, SNAP, or Medicaid & a Valid Photo ID. 🍼
