"Thousands of individuals diagnosed with lung cancer each year have never smoked, underscoring the need for broader public awareness and access to screening."

Lung cancer can affect anyone, yet stigma and misconceptions continue to prevent many people from seeking life-saving information and screening.

We're honored to see HEAL Collaborative's Lung Cancer Screening to Treatment 2.0 program in St. Louis featured in this article, highlighting the importance of breaking the stigma, increasing awareness, and empowering communities through education and early detection.

🌟 Happy Father's Day from HEAL Collaborative! 🌟

Today we celebrate fathers in every form — biological dads, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and the father figures who show up without a title. What they all share is an irreplaceable role in the lives of their families and communities.

But today we also pause to ask: *Who is pouring into you?*

Men's health is a health equity issue. Too many fathers are navigating serious health challenges — heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, cancer — without the support they deserve. Men are less likely to seek preventive care, more likely to delay treatment, and more likely to face barriers like cost, limited access, and a lack of providers who truly understand their experience. In many communities, particularly communities of color, these disparities run deep and the losses are felt across generations.

These gaps are not inevitable. They are the result of systems that have long underinvested in the health and wellbeing of men — and they can be changed.

This Father's Day, HEAL Collaborative recommits to that work — advocating for equitable care, dismantling barriers to prevention and treatment, and building communities where every man has a real opportunity to be healthy and whole.

To every father in our community: your health is not a luxury. It is your right. And we are fighting for it.

We see you. We celebrate you. We are with you.

With love and solidarity,

HEAL Collaborative

🎉 Happy Birthday to HEAL Collaborative Co-Founder, Howard Mosby! 🎂

Today we celebrate a man whose vision, courage, and unwavering belief in what's possible have helped build something truly meaningful — a collaborative rooted in the conviction that every person deserves equitable access to health and wellbeing.

That Howard's birthday falls in this powerful weekend — nestled between Father's Day and Juneteenth — feels especially fitting. Juneteenth reminds us of the long road toward freedom and full humanity for all people. Father's Day honors those who invest in others selflessly and pour into the next generation. Howard embodies both spirits: a leader who understands that health equity is inseparable from justice, and who shows up for this mission the way the best fathers show up — nurturing it, protecting it, and pushing it forward.

Birthdays are a moment to reflect, and we reflect today with deep gratitude. Thank you for your leadership, your humanity, and the community you help create every single day.

Happy Birthday, Howard. Enjoy every moment of this well-deserved celebration — today, we celebrate YOU. 🎉

With gratitude and love,

The HEAL Collaborative Family

Today, we pause to honor Juneteenth — a day that marks not only the end of enslavement in America, but the beginning of a longer, ongoing struggle for true freedom and equity.

At HEAL Collaborative, we recognize that freedom is incomplete without health. For too many Black Americans and underserved communities across this nation, systemic barriers continue to stand between people and the care they deserve — from limited access to quality care and mental health resources, to the lasting physical toll of chronic stress, economic hardship, and environmental inequity.

Juneteenth calls us to reflect honestly on those gaps and to recommit to closing them. Health equity is not a distant goal — it is the foundation of a truly free and just society.

On this day, we honor the resilience, brilliance, and strength of Black communities throughout history and today. We stand in solidarity with all underserved communities who continue to navigate systems not built with them in mind.

And we reaffirm our promise: to show up, to advocate, and to HEAL — together.

With gratitude and purpose,

HEAL Collaborative
