People from multicultural communities make up a significant portion of those waiting for an organ transplant. But they are not simply statistics. They are parents, children, friends, neighbors and loved ones waiting for more time.

Representation matters. When people see their cultures, experiences and concerns reflected, conversations about organ donation become more meaningful, accessible and trusted.

During National Multiethnic Donor Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to learn more, talk with their families and consider registering as an organ donor.

Join us for a special conversation with heart transplant recipient Elsa Chau and liver transplant recipient Jillian Best as they share their experiences participating in the Transplant Games.

Elsa attended the Transplant Games of America, while Jillian has participated in both the World Transplant Games and the Canadian Transplant Games. Together, they’ll reflect on the power of community, movement, and celebrating life after transplant.
