Are your dating standards helping you find love… or keeping you single? 🤔

If you’re ruling someone out after one date because they didn’t check every box, you may be deciding too soon.

Relationship expert Silvy Khoucasian reminds us that one date may not reveal everything about someone. People can be nervous, guarded, or simply need more time to open up.

Someone asked:
“What are some signs that you should go on a second date with someone?”

Here’s what Rodney & Silvy want you to consider:

1️⃣ Shared values
Are your core values and relationship goals reasonably aligned?

2️⃣ Physical attraction
Is there enough attraction and curiosity to want to see them again?

3️⃣ Personality
Did you enjoy spending time together?

4️⃣ Emotional availability
Can they communicate, connect, and show up emotionally?

5️⃣ Give it another date
If you see some of these qualities but aren’t sure yet, you don’t have to decide after one date.

The goal isn’t to lower your standards.

It’s to stop confusing “I don’t know yet” with “this person isn’t right for me.”

Sometimes you need one more date to find out.

We asked couples on the street who should pay for the first date 💳. But the real gold came after.

This couple has been together 3 years, met outside a bar, and when we asked what would make their relationship even better? Communication. Quality time. Even the happiest couples are still working on it.

That’s the thing about relationships. You don’t need to be “struggling” to want to grow. If you’re strong, you need it even more.

FiftyTwo matches you with a real coach: video sessions, message anytime, 100% private between you and them. For wherever you are in your love life. 🔑

He gets defensive every time you ask a serious question? 🚩

You’re not asking for too much. Healthy relationships require healthy communication.

Get personalized, private guidance, just between you and your coach, to help you communicate clearly, navigate conflict & make better relationship decisions.

Someone asked:
“What should I do if the person I’m with gets defensive and refuses to answer what I asked?”

Here’s what Rodney wants you to remember:

1️⃣ Communication is essential
A healthy relationship requires both people to be willing to have honest conversations, especially when something is uncomfortable.

2️⃣ Pay attention to defensiveness
Getting defensive once doesn’t tell you everything. A consistent pattern of avoiding important conversations does.

3️⃣ You deserve answers
You shouldn’t have to constantly chase someone for basic communication about issues that affect your relationship.

4️⃣ Look at how conflict gets handled
Every couple will disagree. What matters is whether you can work through those disagreements together.

5️⃣ Don’t compromise on healthy communication
You can be patient with someone’s communication style, but there needs to be a willingness to communicate and resolve problems.

6️⃣ Know when the pattern isn’t changing
If someone repeatedly refuses to communicate, avoids conflict, or shuts down every serious conversation, consider whether this relationship can truly meet your needs.

A healthy relationship isn’t one where you never have difficult conversations.

It’s one where both people are willing to have them.

You deserve a relationship where you can ask questions, express your needs, and work through problems together.

You dated him once… does that mean his entire friend group is off-limits? 🤔

Dating already feels hard enough. So why are we creating rules that eliminate potential connections before they even happen?

📲 Want help navigating the messy gray areas of dating without overthinking every decision? Meet Coach Rodney Rabbani on the FiftyTwo app through the link in our bio for top-tier coaching on dating confidence, boundaries & intentional relationships.

Someone asked:
“If I date a guy and it doesn’t work out, is everyone in his friend group off limits?”

Here’s what Rodney wants you to consider:

1️⃣ How serious was the relationship?
There’s a HUGE difference between going on one or two dates and dating someone for four years.

2️⃣ Don’t confuse dating with ownership
Just because you dated someone doesn’t mean you automatically have a claim on everyone they know.

3️⃣ Nobody is automatically off-limits
If you meet someone you genuinely connect with, don’t write them off simply because they happen to be friends with someone you previously dated.

4️⃣ But communicate first
If you’re interested in his friend, that friend should talk to him. You don’t need to sneak around or pretend there’s no history.

5️⃣ Consider the circumstances
There are situations where dating the friend could create unnecessary hurt or drama. Context matters.

6️⃣ Don’t let dating “rules” stop you from finding the right person
It’s already difficult enough to meet someone you genuinely like. Sometimes the connection you’re looking for is closer than you think.

The real question isn’t:
“Is his friend off-limits?”

It’s:
“Is this situation respectful, honest, and worth pursuing?”

Because dating doesn’t come with a rulebook—and sometimes the gray areas require a little more communication, not an automatic NO.

What do you think? Would you date someone from your ex-date’s friend group? 👇

Where are all the good men in their 40s? 🕵🏼‍♀️

If you’re looking for a quality man who’s ready for marriage, you may need to change where you’re looking.

📲 Want to meet more quality, marriage-minded men and date with confidence? Meet Coach Rodney Rabbani on the FiftyTwo app through the link in our bio for top-tier coaching on dating, confidence & finding the right relationship.

Someone asked:
“Where do cool marriage material men in their 40s hang out?”

Rodney’s answer? Don’t look for one specific place.

Here’s what he recommends:

1️⃣ Go where you genuinely enjoy being
Seminars, classes, activities, and events can put you around people who already share your interests.

2️⃣ Find like-minded people
Shared interests can create a natural foundation for connection.

3️⃣ Get involved
Don’t just wait for someone to approach you. Put yourself in environments where conversations can actually happen.

4️⃣ Stop assuming the good ones aren’t out there
There are good, attractive, marriage-minded men in every age group.

5️⃣ Be open to unexpected places
The right person may not be where you thought you’d find them.

6️⃣ Give people a chance
You don’t need a room full of perfect matches. You need opportunities to meet someone you genuinely connect with.

You don’t need to find the secret place where all the good men hang out.

You need to put yourself in more places where the right kind of man can actually find you.

If you could give your younger single self ONE piece of dating advice… what would it be? ❤️

Coach Rodney’s answer: listen to your gut.

Want to trust your instincts, date with more clarity, and stop second-guessing yourself? 📲 Meet Coach Rodney Rabbani on the FiftyTwo app through the link in our bio for top-tier coaching that helps you understand your patterns, build self-trust & make better relationship decisions.

Someone asked:
“If you could go back and tell your younger bachelor self one thing, what would it be?”

Here’s what Rodney wants you to remember:

1️⃣ Trust your gut
Sometimes your intuition picks up on something before you can explain it logically.

2️⃣ Don’t ignore what feels off
If something keeps bothering you, get curious about why instead of immediately talking yourself out of it.

3️⃣ Learn your patterns
The more self-aware you become, the easier it is to recognize the difference between intuition, fear, and anxiety.

4️⃣ Don’t let other people make your dating decisions
Friends and family can offer perspective, but you have to trust your own judgment.

5️⃣ Build self-trust
You don’t always need someone else to tell you whether a relationship feels right. Learning to trust yourself builds dating confidence.

6️⃣ Date with clarity
The goal isn’t to become suspicious of everyone. It’s to become more in tune with yourself so you can make healthier relationship decisions.

Your gut is giving you information.

Learn to listen to it.
