Another year, another reason to walk. ❤️

The ODI team is proud to once again participate in the 2026 Indianapolis Heart Walk on September 19.

Heart Walk brings our community together in support of healthier hearts and lifesaving progress- from helping more people learn CPR to supporting cardiovascular research. For a team whose work is centered around supporting the MCS community, it’s a cause that means a lot to us.

We’re excited to get out there together again this year, and we’d love your support!

If you’d like to help us make a difference with the American Heart Association, follow the link below to contribute to the ODI team. Every donation helps, and we’re grateful for everyone cheering us on!

When multiple caregivers are involved in driveline care, consistency matters.

A standardized dressing change process helps create a repeatable approach by organizing supplies, reinforcing proper sequencing, and supporting adherence to established protocols.

It's a simple concept with an important goal: reducing unnecessary variation while giving patients and care teams greater confidence throughout the dressing change process.

Because consistency isn't just a best practice- t's an important part of supporting quality patient care.

When a SynCardia patient transitions to outpatient care, a lot is happening behind the scenes.

From coordinating Freedom® Driver equipment and driveline supplies to INR services, vital sign monitoring, compliance tracking, and dedicated account management, successful outpatient care depends on a coordinated support system - not a single shipment.

As the exclusive provider of outpatient equipment and supplies for SynCardia patients, ODI works alongside hospital teams to simplify outpatient logistics so clinicians can stay focused on what matters most: patient care.

Great outpatient support is built on preparation, coordination, and responsiveness, and we're proud to help deliver all three.

Not every advanced heart failure patient is an LVAD candidate.

For carefully selected, transplant-eligible patients with severe biventricular failure, the SynCardia Total Artificial Heart can serve as a bridge to transplantation.

But the transition from hospital to home requires a highly coordinated support structure.

At ODI, we specialize in exactly that gap: helping hospital MCS teams manage the equipment, supplies, insurance coordination, and outpatient monitoring needed to support eligible TAH patients after discharge.

If your MCS program is preparing to support TAH patients beyond the hospital, let’s talk.

Trusted partnerships help make life beyond the hospital possible.

As of April 2026, ODI became the exclusive provider of outpatient equipment and supplies for SynCardia patients. As the manufacturer of the only FDA-approved Total Artificial Heart (TAH), SynCardia relies on ODI to help provide patients with the support and resources needed to safely transition home and remain eligible for an eventual heart transplant.

Over the course of our partnership, ODI has supported more than 140 SynCardia patients, helping bridge the gap between hospital and home while supporting continuity of care every step of the way.

Because for patients awaiting transplant, the journey doesn't stop at discharge. Learn more about ODI's support for SynCardia patients and outpatient MCS care at od-inc.com.

Access to care often starts long before a patient leaves the hospital.

This month, we're recognizing Peggy Baltz, Authorizations and Benefits Specialist at ODI.

Peggy helps patients and care teams navigate the complexities of insurance coverage, benefits, and authorizations- an important part of ensuring support can continue when it's needed most.

Behind every approval is a process that requires attention to detail, communication, and coordination. By helping remove administrative barriers, Peggy plays an important role in keeping continuity of care moving forward and supporting a smoother experience for patients and providers alike.

We're grateful for team members like Peggy whose work behind the scenes helps make a meaningful difference every day.

Discharge is an important milestone, but it's not the end of the journey.

Successful outcomes depend on what happens after a patient leaves the hospital. Monitoring, communication, education, and support all play an important role in helping patients navigate life at home.

Because continuity of care requires more than supplies. It requires coordination.

For patients waiting for a transplant, home isn't just a destination. It's an opportunity to regain a sense of normalcy.

After transitioning home with SynCardia TAH support, Johnny spent 203 days doing the things he loved most- playing golf, working in the yard, lifting weights, and walking miles each day.

Stories like Johnny's are a reminder that successful outcomes aren't measured only in procedures or days on support. They're measured in independence, quality of life, and moments spent with loved ones.

Helping patients safely transition from the hospital to home is an important part of the journey, and continuity of care plays a critical role every step of the way.

The future of MCS is being shaped by innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to better patient outcomes.

At , the ODI team had the opportunity to connect with clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders who are advancing the science and technology behind mechanical circulatory support.

While therapies and technologies continue to evolve, one thing remains constant: successful outcomes depend on continuity of care and strong partnerships beyond discharge.

We're proud to be part of a community committed to pushing patient care forward and look forward to applying the insights and conversations from ASAIO throughout the year.

Warmer weather is here- and it’s a great reminder to get outside, stay active, and enjoy the moments that keep us moving!

Whether it’s a walk with family, time outdoors, or simply getting some fresh air, small activities can make a meaningful difference for both physical and mental well-being.

We love seeing our patients, care teams, and community continue to prioritize heart health and healthy routines beyond the hospital setting.

Here’s to a season of movement, connection, and taking advantage of the sunshine. ☀️
