Physically 🏡 Don’t stress over packing up your hungry baby to go to your lactation appointment, let us come to you and meet you at your home. Our home visits are covered exactly the same as an in office visit. And we do not charge travel fees within the Omaha Metro Area.

Mentally 🧠 Let us meet you where you are at mentally. If feeding your baby is overwhelming and you just need to get through today, we are here for that. If you need to talk about weaning, we are here for that. If you need to vent about how the system doesn’t support lactation, we are here for that. If you need to make a solid plan for the next year, we are here for that too.

Emotionally 🥹 Raising children changes us. Hormones after birth are changing drastically, what you are feeling now may not be the same tomorrow. We are here to meet you where you’re at. No pressure, no pushing, let us meet you where you’re at with emotionally informed advice for each situation.

Logically 🧐 How does this work? What do babies need? If I feed to sleep now will they ever sleep on their own? If I decrease feedings will my supply drop? Logistically intelligent advice is what we strive to bring to every consult. We meet you where you are at with information that is practical and logical, and try to explain it in a way you’ll understand. No BS here.

🍼 We also meet you where you are at for breast pumps. We help you pick out the best one for you situation and deliver it to your front door. Same amount of convenience as those big online websites, but you’re supporting a small business instead.

If you’ve gotten photos in the past years we’ve done this, we kindly ask that you don’t get them again (unless you've got a new baby) so that others have the opportunity. This event always sells out very quickly, usually within ONE day!

Be mindful that once you’ve chosen your time slot you cannot change it, but we are usually pretty flexible as babies never want to nurse when they are supposed to.

Please don't sign up and then not show up. This is a fantastic opportunity. If for some reason you cannot attend after signing up, please text us ASAP to get your slot reopened to another.

Guess what's back?! 😍

Our 9th annual FREE World Breastfeeding Week Photos are back!

Pictures will be THIS SATURDAY July 25th in the afternoon (indoors).

Only 12 spots available.

Tickets will be released on Wednesday at 7pm and are first come first serve. We will post the link for tickets on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) at that time.

P.S. We've had a lot of no-shows over previous years. Please don't do that to us. We sell out of this event every year. We know there are tons of families who want these precious photos. We make them free so they are accessible to all, not so that you don't feel obligated to come.

**Please be aware** A photo consent form will need to be signed. Photos may be used on social media, print materials, and more. The photographer also has their own consent form that will need to be signed as well. You will get a preview of consent forms before signing up for a time slot. Do not take a time slot if you do not agree to the consent forms and these photos being shared publicly.

🔹Those who’ve already received or plan to receive a breast pump from Nurture Omaha over the summer

🔹If you’ve been referred to me by your provider (Midwife/OB/Pediatrician)

🔹If your employer has a program with us (FNBO, Berkshire, etc.)

Breast pumps are available to everyone who needs one and encouraged to be scheduled with us ASAP! You ALWAYS get first priority of appointments with us!

We're fangirling over here!! 🤩 My breast friend has joined Nurture Omaha to help deliver high quality and compassionate care to families in the Blair and Washington County area!

Please help me in welcoming Therese Dansby, RN, IBCLC and owner of Happy Mama, Healthy Baby!! Therese is in network with most major insurances - including Blue Cross Blue Shield!! 🎉

Therese is a powerhouse of information - and she's constantly learning more. She's incredibly educated, but in the kindest way possible. She's one of the biggest empaths I've met and just wants to help everyone transition into matrescence in the most beautiful way!

Besides bringing her amazing clinical skills as an IBCLC to help you figure out your most complex feeding issues like low supply, oral ties, and body tension - she also shares her talents and knowledge through her podcast (🎙Milk & Motherhood) where she has interviewed some really amazing people and talked about every topic you could ever imagine (and many you didn't even imagine)!

Therese's talents are also apparent in her Nourished Mothers and Nourished with Nuance cookbooks. She knows a whole lot about nutrition and what a postpartum body needs and these recipes are easy, freezer friendly, and customizable for allergies of all sorts!

Now for her most helpful and amazing resource yet - Earbud IBCLC. Have you ever been googling at 3am why your baby is choking on your letdown? Or if their p**p is normal? Or literally anything else? I know you have! Earbud IBCLC is evidence-based information in short videos on all those topics and more! No more trying to decipher if google AI is correct or not, get advice from an IBCLC right then and there! Start learning in pregnancy and keep it as a resource for those times you are feeling unsure and want to learn more.

📣 Calling all my Nurture Omaha families!
Your favorite milk lady is heading home to Egypt for the summer! 🇪🇬✨ I’ll be away during June & July visiting family, eating my weight in Egyptian food, and hopefully getting a photo that makes me look like I personally built the pyramids. 😅🐪
If you’ve been meaning to schedule a follow-up visit, now’s the perfect time before I leave! 💛
Don’t worry — I’ll still have access to the patient portal while I’m away and will continue responding to messages, so you’re not getting abandoned to the sleep deprivation alone. 😉 Melanie will also be available for in-person visits for you if you need!

🍼 Ancient Egypt fun fact: breastfeeding was highly valued in ancient Egyptian culture, and some artwork even shows the goddess Isis nursing baby Horus — basically the original breastfeeding awareness campaign. 😉

We got to do something super cool tonight! We were invited to have a table at Norris Elementary School’s .elementary.pto Art & Multicultural night! 🎉 We had kiddos walk under the bar, if they could - and they didn’t have a booster seat or car seat, they got to get a FREE booster! 😍 So many families engaged with us, asking great questions on when to move their kiddos to the next seat, and we gave away so many boosters! 🫶 This was all made possible from the Injury Prevention Team at - thank you so much!✨🎉 Does your kiddo still ride in a booster or car seat? If they are under the age 10, or under 4’9” tall, or less than 110lbs, they likely still need one! Boosters are so important to reduce injury and save lives in crashes. 🙌 Did you know kids aged 8-12 has the highest rate of fatalities among children? 😳 A properly fitting booster seat reduces that risk by 45%!! 🚗🚙 Buckle up for every ride every time and make sure you’re in the right seat!

It’s not an April Fools joke! We really did open our doors on April 1st, 2017!

I’m so thankful for the past 9 years of watching this little business grow from seeing maybe 3-12 families a month to seeing 12-20 families a week!

This business started with a dream to provide quality, compassionate, and evidence-based lactation support, and grew to being a business that provides that level of lactation support, bottle feeding and bottle refusal support, pumping support, insurance-covered breast pumps accessible by home delivery, car seat education, breastfeeding education, support groups, worksite education and worksite programs for businesses wanting to offer high-quality essential lactation and pumping support to their employees at work and at home, and more!

From 2 owners, to 1 owner, to 1 owner and an employee (Angie’s the best!)- my we have went through changes! It’s been 9 years of growth, learning, humility, and a never ending optimism and fighting spirit to make sure that all families have equally accessible support!
