When your boss says, “Hey, I just need you for one quick video…” 😂

Testosterone isn’t just a male hormone — women need it too.

It plays an important role in things like muscle mass, strength, libido, bone health, energy, and overall hormone balance.

That’s why when we look at a woman’s hormone picture, we don’t just focus on estrogen and progesterone. Testosterone can be another important piece of the bigger picture, especially when we’re looking at symptoms and testing together.

Dr. Chelsea & Cristian were at Workout Anytime in Port Orange this evening for their member appreciation day doing demos of SoftWave therapy for their members.

We had a great time educating patients on the benefits of this awesome device and getting them some relief in between sets! 🙌🏋️‍♀️

A multivitamin can be a convenient starting point, but it’s still a one-size-fits-all approach.

Your body may need more of one nutrient, less of another, or support that isn’t included in that standard capsule at all. That’s why I prefer using individualized testing to help guide supplementation based on what your body is actually showing us.

Personalized support makes a lot more sense than assuming everyone needs the exact same nutrients in the exact same amounts.

SoftWave is actually a type of shockwave therapy — but the way the energy is delivered is different.

SoftWave uses unfocused acoustic waves, which spread energy across a broader treatment area and are designed to reach deeper into the tissue. In the video, I break down how SoftWave can cover an area approximately 7 cm wide and up to 12 cm deep, compared with more traditional focused shockwave approaches that target a much smaller area and typically don’t reach as deep.

Because we’re able to treat a broader area with each pulse, SoftWave protocols may also use fewer total shocks per session and, in some cases, fewer treatment visits, depending on the patient and condition.

Not all “shockwave” is the same — the type of technology matters.

IASTM, or Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, is one of the tools we use to work on muscles and other soft tissues.

It may help reduce muscle tension, improve mobility and tissue flexibility, support circulation to the area, and complement chiropractic care or rehab when appropriate.

It’s not something every patient needs — it’s just another option we can use based on what we find during your evaluation and what your body needs.

Yes — you can absolutely take too many supplements.

More isn’t always better. Some nutrients can build up in the body, interact with medications, compete with other nutrients, or simply be unnecessary if your body doesn’t need them.

That’s why I prefer using individualized testing and health history to help guide supplementation instead of taking a long list of products just because they’re popular.

The goal isn’t to take the most supplements — it’s to use the right support for the right person.

Waking up hungry in the middle of the night can be more than just an annoying sleep interruption.

Sometimes it can be connected to things like what you ate during the day, whether you’re getting enough protein, blood sugar patterns, stress, or overall sleep quality.

If it’s happening regularly, it may be worth looking at the bigger picture instead of assuming it’s just random hunger.

Bladder leaks, sudden urgency, or getting up multiple times at night to use the bathroom can all be signs that your pelvic floor may need more support.

These symptoms can have different contributing factors, so they don’t automatically mean the same thing for everyone. But if they’re happening regularly, they’re worth paying attention to.

Your pelvic floor plays an important role in bladder control, stability, and everyday function — and there are different ways we can evaluate and support it.
