Cake has been cut, and it's officially bittersweet season at Zeal.

Our summer pharmacy interns spent the last few months in the middle of EVERYTHING, and they made us faster and better while they were here. Last week we sent them off the only appropriate way: ice cream cake, in the middle of the afternoon, no agenda.

The good news is they're not really leaving. They're shifting to their school schedule during the semester, so we'll still see them between classes and rotations.

We hire pharmacy interns on purpose. Having and the in our backyard, plus Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and other programs across the region, means we get to work alongside future pharmacists early, and honestly...we learn as much from them as they do from us. Several of the best specialty pharmacists we know started exactly this way.

Good luck this semester!
