As a nutritionist, it’s embarrassing that I still don’t have the workout piece locked down.

I love the food and nutrition part. But going to the gym as just my daily routine has been another story.

I’ve definitely had times where I’ve gone religiously but find myself getting off track if I have injuries or get sick.

But I’m determined to crack this code because I know it’s not an option to NOT do it at age 54. And I do always feel amazing every time afterwards.

So I’m experimenting with some different techniques. First up is weight lifting every day but only doing one exercise, one compound movement.

Have you tried single exercise workouts every day?

Tomorrow I’ll tell you about my $10k habit around trying to workout consistently.

Anybody else weird about these things too? Especially the first one! I keep assuming these New Orleans places and experiences are everywhere. Like didn’t everyone go on a field trip to Bunny Bread in grammar school and get the sticker?? Or eat sno-balls?

If you feel like the wheels came off the bus, you’re not alone. Throw in some ADHD and it can be completely overwhelming and confusing. 🫤

I’ve been seeing this more and more. Old coping mechanisms no longer keep you high functioning. Things you could easily do before now seem impossible. Derailed by minor bumps in the day. Taking 3 hours to write a 10 minute email or putting it off altogether because everything seems too much.

It’s why I can’t stand by watching women getting dismissed by doctors, then turning to crappy supplements and potions and nonsense being peddled out here.

If you’re waking up at 2 or 3 am with your mind spinning through everything that could go wrong, that’s your body trying to keep you alive when your blood sugar dropped in the middle of the night.

And unstable blood sugar starts in your gut. Because your gut controls your cortisol stress hormone rhythm.

Heal your gut, heal your hormones. And start sleeping through the night.
