Living with cancer, including , impacts every area of life, from physical health to emotional and social well-being. With the recent approval of a new treatment option for eligible patients, we’re reminded that meaningful care includes both medical innovation and practical support for everyday life.

Because navigating cancer involves many dimensions of daily life, that’s why we’re launching Thriving Through Multiple Myeloma in partnership with Thrive Global, founded by Arianna Huffington. This free well-being resource offers tools to help manage stress and establish healthy habits that support long-term care.

We’ve been researching potential therapies for people living with pulmonary fibrosis (PF) for more than a decade, and we’re building on that progress every day.

While available therapies can help slow decline in lung function, many people continue to face ongoing challenges, underscoring the need for new approaches that may help preserve quality of life and daily function.

For more than 25 years, the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMS Foundation), an independent charitable organization, has worked alongside its local grantee partners across sub-Saharan Africa to strengthen health systems and help expand access to care.

The impact comes to life through stories like those of Francis, who received a lung cancer diagnosis that led to life-changing care, Beatrice, who received cervical cancer screening in her own community, and continent-wide efforts to improve care for children living with cancer and sickle cell disease.

Through locally led solutions, the BMS Foundation and its grantee partners are helping build stronger, more sustainable systems of care designed to reach more people today and endure for generations.

“All you need to get lung cancer is a set of lungs.”

Here's something a lot of people don't realize: while to***co remains the leading risk factor, most people diagnosed with lung cancer today have either quit smoking years ago or never smoked at all. That disconnect between perception and reality can follow a patient throughout their entire treatment journey, making it harder for them to find the empathy, support and care they deserve.

As we prepare to observe tomorrow, hear from our SVP and head of Global Medical Oncology, Dr. Nate Pennell, as he draws on his own experience to talk about why addressing this bias is so important — for patients, for families and for progress against the disease.

Often misunderstood, Sjögren’s disease goes beyond dry eyes and mouth. It’s a systemic condition that can impact multiple parts of the body and daily life. With symptoms that vary widely, diagnosis and care can be challenging, and current treatments are largely symptom focused.

We’re looking beyond symptom management by focusing on understanding the biology of the disease, so that we can advance potential new treatment options.
