Before stepping into aesthetics, Maya built her nursing background in emergency and perioperative care, where she gained years of hands-on experience in patient care, anatomy, and safety. She’s also currently continuing her education in a Family Nurse Practitioner program 👩‍🎓

Her love for skincare, beauty, and helping people feel confident eventually led her into aesthetics and becoming trained in neurotoxins and dermal fillers. ✨

This week’s question: “What areas can I lift with Botox?”

Botox isn’t just for softening lines, when strategically placed, it can also help create a subtle lifting effect by relaxing muscles that naturally pull downward. 🤍

Some of our favorite areas to treat include the glabella and crow’s feet for a more open, refreshed look around the eyes, the DAOs to help lift the corners of the mouth, and the platysma bands to help soften downward pull along the jawline and neck.

We can even use MicroTox under the chin to help tighten and smooth the appearance of that “waddle” area. ✨

It’s all about treating the right muscles in the right places for a natural, balanced result.

Both treatments work to stimulate collagen and elastin, helping improve skin texture, tone, and overall skin quality BUT the treatment experience is a little different

Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to kickstart your natural healing response. It can come with some redness, sensitivity, and a few days of downtime.

Jet Plasma is a non-invasive option that also stimulates collagen and elastin, but with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime making it a great option if you want to get back to your day right away ⏰
