community altar is up at the shop 🤍 same as last year-drop by anytime during our open hours, light a candle, talk to your loved ones, i am an excellent listener if you want to share, but silence is welcome too. leave a trinket if you wish. anything left behind can be picked up next week.

we’ll also be building an altar during our ritual on sunday night. there will be divination tools available to help you connect, receive messages, and send your own. you’ll build a spell jar to carry this connection home with you. signature cauldron burn will close the circle. space is still available if you’d like to join us.❤️

so does the shift in weather have everyone’s cranky back/ injuries/arthritis/autoimmune stuff flaring, or is it just me?! 😅 i made a point to make a big batch of our relieve pain oil this week, and one of those bottles is definitely going home with me!

my literal perfect day at the shop. new faces, old friends, & rain. plus my own custom blend for the day: lemon verbena & ginger from the garden, and a big scoop of chamomile 🤍 i raged through the 100+ degree days for this!😂

holiday treats are starting to make their way into the shop!
🎃🍁🌲🎁

we’ve re-stocked a favorite herbal book, which is a great gift for herbalists new and old! so much info to learn from in here, plus lots of formulas to try out in your home apothecary. written by some of my favorite folks CommonWealth Holistic Herbalism.🌱

we also have a wide variety of delicious local honey from Yummy Honey! produced just over in woodland, and one of my first market friends 🥰, any of their flavors make an excellent gift alone or with some tea.

and cards (and a few shirts) from Gold & Oak! beautiful unique block printed designs, and you can’t find these anywhere else!

october is domestic violence awareness month, so here’s my yearly reminder that you can and should (if you’re able) sue for custody of your pets. small claims court, minimal filing fee, and you can represent yourself. they deserve a safe home too. 🤍

and just like that, a new season begins. ever changing alongside the earth, nothing stays the same, and thank goodness for that.

the next phase of our mutual aid garden is almost in! today we transplanted two kinds of peas, collards, and broccoli. we direct sowed some carrot seeds and garlic, thanks to a generous neighbor. tomorrow cauliflower and kale go in, and then we’ll reassess the space that remains to see what else can fit.

i know we’re not solving the hunger crisis with our tiny plot, but i’m so proud of what we’re able to provide and so grateful for all the helpful hands and support from you all. 🤍🍁

sometimes shop days are just sitting in comfy chairs and learning a new crochet pattern with a neighbor. 🤍🧶

my dream is that it’ll be cool enough to wear this sweater again. my eternal practice is accepting things i can’t change. 😂🌞

a little change for the apothecary this weekend! on saturday, we’ll be at the mystique market in the sacramento historic city cemetery! i’ve been looking forward to this event all year, come get witchy with us!

snapshots of community altars and rituals past 🤍

we’re just about a month away from our letting go ritual at the shop. this time of year holds a special energy that allows us to connect deeper with our ancestors, our loved ones who have passed, our fur babies, and our past selves.

in this ritual we will take time to be present with those we wish to communicate with. we will share our messages with them, and listen to theirs. we will craft spell jars to use to foster our connections post-ritual. and we will of course, *of course*, release our burdens into the cauldron fire.

only a few spots remain, link in bio to join us 🤍
