I used to be somebody…

I used to be a thought leader.
Someone who mattered.
People needed me.
People wanted me.

But then I retired.

Not because I’m 65.

But because my body gave up.

I had to stop working.

There was no party.
No plan.
No golf clubs.

Just one day I was somebody and the next day there was nothing…

This is a sort of a poetic message from my heart. Something I feel led to share as my content evolves.

I hope you enjoy it.

Healing often looks like failure.

After years of workaholism and toxic success culture, resting feels like a white flag raised to the enemies I’ve been fighting my whole life:

Poverty
Insignificance
Shame

Since my crash, I’ve been strapped to an oxygen tank, a bi-pap machine, and a walker/wheelchair.

Hardly my vision of success.

But I’m also strapped to a resounding feeling of failure that fills every tear drop like salt.

How could I have let this happen?!

My drive to be financially successful in business almost made my wife a widow and my children fatherless.

And while Myasthenia Gravis tries to keep me focused on healing my body, the real healing must take place in the heart and mind.

What is a successful life, anyway?

Truly, as I lie in bed and shuffle around the house with literally nothing to do I’m coming to learn that for me…

TRUE HEALING isn’t merely remission of disease - it’s a reframing of the goals and ambitions I’ve toiled for.

Dad instead of dollars.
Husband instead of hi-fives.
Family instead of fame.

I’m not just healing from a physical ailment, I’m healing from four decades of cultural programming that has run me into the ground.

So even tho it feels like failure…

Healing in this way might just be the greatest success of my life.

I miss this.

Things have changed so much since I experienced a Myasthenia Gravis crisis.

Scariest experience of my life.

Lucky to be alive.

And I’m getting stronger everyday.

I’m rebuilding.

Starting from scratch.

I know that I’ll recover.
I know that God provides.
I know that the body heals.

But knowing that…

Doesn’t help the feelings I feel sitting on the couch while the world passes me by.

Fighting off the shame and embarrassment of working my body into the ground…

Praying for strength while also lacking the strength to pray…

It’s a confusing season

There are good days and bad…

Sometimes I’m not sure how much pain ill be able to endure…

But I do know that this too shall pass.

That God didn’t bring me here to leave me here. That I won’t curse His name or lose hope and die…

I am victorious.

My God comes to rescue me.

He made me the head…
and not the tail.

So until then, I will wait on Him.

Devastating (read more)

I remain cancer free but the collateral damage continues to rage against my body.

And I’ve ignored it.

My body has been screaming for rest while I’ve chased money and fame. A pursuit that ended in all I wanted but left me unconscious on a hospital floor; my wife crying as doctors slapped my face to bring me to life again.

Cancer was NEVER this hard.
NEVER this painful.

A Myasthenia Gravis Crisis is devastating.

It’s leveled me.

And now…

I’m on an oxygen tube
I can barely walk
I can’t work

And my heart is full of sorrow and my soul is in anguish wondering where is my God and my Rock?!

Please help my family during this time.

For now, I am healing. I’m getting stronger everyday and the Lord is my shepherd.

But the tears continue to fall as the towers I built over 16 years have crumbled into dust in just one calendar month.

My life is changed.

And what’s next is anyone’s guess.

They told me it was “nothing.”Then “probably stress.”Then “let’s wait and see.”
Meanwhile… it was growing inside me.
The hardest part of my cancer journey wasn’t the diagnosis. It was the delay — the quiet gaslighting that makes you question your own body, your own instincts, your own urgency.
You start to wonder:“Am I overreacting?”“Am I being dramatic?”“Should I just trust the system?”
But here’s the truth I learned the hard way:
Your body whispers before it screams. And you’re allowed to listen.
By the time they finally said the word “terminal,”I wasn’t shocked… I was validated. And that’s a dangerous place to be — when your intuition is right, but the system was late.
If you’re in that in-between right now, here’s what I wish I had done sooner:
• Push for imaging early – don’t settle for assumptions when symptoms persist• Get a second (or third) opinion – speed comes from perspective• Track everything – symptoms, timelines, changes… data creates urgency• Ask better questions – “What are we ruling out?” not just “What do you think it is?”• Escalate when needed – specialists > generalists when things don’t add up• Trust your gut – if something feels off, it probably isComment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free keto vegan protocol I used for my journey
You are not “difficult.”You are not “anxious.”You are advocating for your life.
The system moves at its own pace.Cancer doesn’t.
If sharing this helps even one person get diagnosed sooner…then the delay I went through won’t be wasted.
I wish I had known this earlier. Now you do.

I did everything they told me to 👇

Chemo. Radiation. The “standard of care”

And instead of healing, I felt weaker, more inflamed, more disconnected from my own body

And the worst part nobody prepared me for that

No one tells you that finishing treatment doesn’t always mean you’re healthy again. It just means you survived it.

That’s when I realized, if I wanted to actually feel alive again, I had to take health into my own hands

So I went on a different path 👇

1️⃣ Water fasting: not starvation, but a controlled reset under medical supervision vision. The first time I did it something shifted and my tumors shrunk by 30%

2️⃣ Metabolic Therapy (keto vegan/low tox living): I stopped feeding my body ANYTHING “jus to not lose weight like my doctors said. Focused on what survivors used as fuel

✅ Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my keto vegan guide for beginners free

3️⃣ Resolving Childhood Trauma: your tissue holds onto your emotions, creating patterns that can either heal or hinder. Addressing my root traumas was one of the most unexpected leaps I took forward

Things began to shift for me, slowly

And they can for you too!

I’ve been hiding.

Some new symptoms have popped up and they’ve been concerning. So I’m getting all the tests and my doc has me on some meds…

But I’ve been feeling like a failure.

Bc I don’t want to let you down…

I’ve built this whole page to motivate you into health and life and wellness and I don’t want you to lose hope just bc I got a bad cough and massive fatigue.

That’s life! Especially after the hell of chemo and then the trauma of recurrence and being told you’re gonna die by the doctors who are supposedly supposed to help you.

We got past the tumors and then we got the blood clots…

Then my liver started freaking out and I’d be in pain ALL NIGHT.

I kept this a secret from you all.

I’m sorry.

I didn’t want to scare you or break your belief that you would heal.

You will.

But after you heal from one thing… you maybe have another thing to heal from.

And another…

And I’m going to share that journey with you more openly bc my story is not a one and done story…

The healing journey unravels like a rose opening to the morning sun.

I’ll share more as I know more.

And I won’t hide anymore.

Because just as I got thru cancer, blood clots, and liver probs…

I’ll get thru this too.

God will get the glory.

And lives will be transformed in Jesus name.
