A big thank you to for hosting yet another incredible event last night! I had the chance to meet so many dynamic, passionate, mission-driven women who are truly making an impact in our community — all carrying themselves with such grace, wisdom, and beauty inside and out.

This is always one of my favorite events because I not only make new friends, but leave feeling genuinely energized, inspired, and reminded of the power of community. And let’s be honest… the goodie bags aren’t too shabby either!
A big shout out to Hayley, Leslie, Nikki and the amazing team at Marin Magazine for putting on such a special issue and highlighting .
I feel so lucky to be in the company of such bold, smart, and innovative women!

Taking time to pause and get outside is good for the soul, and the dog, and kids, and most of all is a great form of self-care! Get outside before the rains come, get lost in the tide pools, let the kids find starfish (but make them put them back!), and enjoy all these precious moments because they sure do grow up fast!

After I threw out a rib out a few weeks ago and got 2 chiropractic adjustments, 1 self-administrted acupuncture treatment, and did stretches and swimming to try to get it back to a good place…. There’s no way to describe the profound release you get from ! And I have to thank Patricia my friend and amazing acupuncturist from , thank you! When I came home, my son took some very artistic photos of the cupping!

There I was at 9:45am, Mile 17 at the , with my sign and my loudest cheers for my nephew who was running in honor of his dad (my brother-in-law) Eric Aversa (who we lost in Dec 2025), and the !
But as I tracked his location on the app, and stood there waiting for almost 2 hrs…the unthinkable happened…
I missed him!!
On that Sunday, I realized how even tho I didn’t get to see him at that marker, I found comfort that my sign and my cheers still made an impact…..
- many runners came up and told me things like: ‘I’m running for my mom who has it,” my dad just died from it, thank you!”
- we brought awareness and discussion about , a horrible with over 12,000 cases diagnosed each year
- I saw huge smiles and got some fist bumps from many runners pushing through to finish
I love these types of events because it truly brings people together and a lot can be learned as a spectator and a supporter for not just your loved ones but for all participants in the event!
I urge everyone to experience the joy, gratitude, and positivity that you feel from these types of marathons or events and be part of building community and bearing witness to all these brave runners/walkers!
(And we did finally catch him at Mile 26!!)
