In 2025, an estimated 2 million Americans were diagnosed with a cancer other than non-melanoma skin cancer. According to the AACR Cancer Progress Report 2025, approximately 40% of these cases are linked to preventable causes like smoking, lack of physical activity, obesity, and excessive sun exposure.
