Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a moment to honor the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who never made it home. Because of them, we enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

Let us remember their names, their stories, and the families who carry their legacy forward. May we live our lives in a way that honors the price they paid.

Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our communities whose love, wisdom, and stories have shaped generations. We are honored to care for these incredible women and grateful for the compassion they continue to share.

We’re thrilled to announce a special milestone for Mission Health: the first recipient of the Paris Girginis Nursing Scholarship.

Congratulations to Synthia Lum Ngwa, CNA at North Ridge Health and Rehab, whose dedication, professionalism, and passion for growth truly embody our CARES values. Synthia’s achievement was first announced at our Leadership Conference in Kansas City in April.

The scholarship was created to honor former VP of Reimbursement and Innovation Paris Girginis’ legacy and his belief that investing in our caregivers is essential to the future of care. Synthia represents that vision in action. She is committed to advancing her career in nursing, embracing our CARES values to improve the lives of residents and families.

Synthia, we’re proud of you and excited for what’s ahead.

This week, we celebrate the nurses who care for the residents who call our communities home. Every day, our nurses bring compassion, patience, and dedication to those they serve—building meaningful relationships with residents and providing comfort to families who trust that their loved ones are in good hands.

Through CARES and the Mission Experience, our nurses live out our commitment to compassionate care, ensuring every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.

Your mental health matters—today and every day. Taking time to care for your mind is just as important as caring for your physical health, and support is available when you need it.

Mission Health is proud to partner with First Stop Health, offering virtual mental health counseling for Mission Health employees and their eligible family members who are enrolled in a Mission Health medical insurance plan.

Through First Stop Health, you have access to a range of supportive services, including:

Cassie has been a key part of our education team as a Regional Nurse Educator. In her new role, she’ll focus on developing leaders across Mission Health through training, certifications, and growth opportunities.

We're excited to see her impact in this next chapter. Congratulations, Cassie!

🎶 A Meaningful Finale to Our Leadership Conference 🎶

We wrapped up our Annual Leadership Conference in Kansas City with a powerful reminder of what makes us Connected in Rhythm—serving our communities.

Through Mission Giving, our leaders came together to build Free Little Libraries that will be placed in our communities, creating welcoming spaces where neighbors can take a book, share a book, and connect through reading. These libraries will help expand access to books while encouraging people to trade and share stories with one another.

Teams collaborated to build the frameworks, united in purpose, and ended the conference with a heartwarming finale that celebrated the harmony of giving back.

As our leaders head home, they leave inspired and energized—ready to bring the lessons, connections, and purpose from these past few days back to their teams and the communities we serve. 💙📚
