Did you know? Diabetes can cause more than changes in blood sugar; it can also cause painful nerve damage.

Painful diabetic neuropathy can feel like:
• Burning or tingling
• Pins and needles
• Electric or shooting pain
• Numbness
• Extreme sensitivity to touch
• Pain in the feet or legs

For some people, these symptoms can make walking, sleeping, exercising, or simply enjoying everyday life difficult.

When conventional treatments aren't providing enough relief, spinal cord stimulation (SCS) may be an option worth discussing.

If diabetic nerve pain is interfering with your daily life, don't assume you just have to live with it. Contact the office today (231) 642-2202

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is one treatment option that may help certain patients manage chronic pain and improve their ability to get back to the activities they enjoy.
You don’t have to simply “learn to live with it.”

If chronic pain is keeping you from doing the things you love, contact our office today! (231) 642-2202

💡 Did You Know?

Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) is a treatment option for certain types of chronic pain when conservative therapies haven't provided enough relief.

A spinal cord stimulator is a small device that delivers mild electrical signals to the spinal cord to help interrupt pain signals before they reach the brain.

SCS may be an option for people living with:
✔ Chronic back or leg pain
✔ Pain after back surgery
✔ Painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN)
✔ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
✔ Certain types of nerve pain

One of the unique benefits of spinal cord stimulation is that most patients can complete a temporary trial before deciding whether to move forward with permanent implantation. This allows you and your physician to see if it provides meaningful pain relief before making a long-term commitment.

Every patient is different, and spinal cord stimulation isn't the right choice for everyone. That's why a thorough evaluation is the first step in determining the best treatment plan for your specific condition.

Is It Nerve Pain?

Not all pain is the same.

If you've ever experienced burning, tingling, numbness, or electric shock-like sensations, you may be dealing with nerve pain rather than muscle or joint pain.

Common causes of nerve pain include:
✔ Diabetic neuropathy
✔ Sciatica
✔ Previous back or neck surgery
✔ Pinched nerves
✔ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

The good news? There are treatment options beyond medications that may help manage chronic nerve pain and improve quality of life.

If your pain has persisted despite conservative treatment, it may be time to explore other options.

📞 Contact our office to schedule an evaluation and discuss what treatments may be appropriate for you.
