In 2025, TMC Rincon saw substantial growth across its programs and services. Over the past year, the hospital expanded its inpatient bed capacity, welcomed a team of experienced cardiologists, delivered more than 200 babies, cared for more than 17,000 patients in its emergency department and performed more than 1,000 surgeries.

Recently, TMC Health learned that some organizations have been targeted by scam emails pretending to be MyChart. These emails may advertise products such as a MyChart "Medicare Kit" or "Senior Kit."

These emails are scams. TMC Health does not offer any such kits.

At this time, we have not received any reports of patients receiving these emails claiming to be from TMC Health. However, because other health systems have been affected, we want to make you aware of this potential scam.

If you receive an email offering one of these kits and claiming to be from TMC Health, do not click on any links or provide any personal information. To access MyChart safely, always use the MyChart link on tmcaz.com

TMC Rincon is proud to announce that Shaun Phillips, CEO of TMC Rincon and System Vice President for Performance Management at TMC Health, has been named in Becker's Hospital Review's 2026 "240 Community Hospital CEOs to Know."

Becker's wrote, "Bringing more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience to the roles, Mr. Phillips serves as CEO of TMC Rincon, TMC Health’s newest full-service acute-care hospital, and as the health system’s vice president for performance management. At the 132,000-square-foot hospital, which opened two years ago in Southeast Tucson, he has overseen rapid growth, including increased bed capacity and the addition of more general and orthopedic surgeons. TMC Rincon offers emergency care, inpatient services, imaging, a cardiac catheterization lab, operating rooms, and a growing labor and delivery program under his leadership. Mr. Phillips reinforces patient safety through daily rounding, a centrally located office and regular check-ins with night shift teams, while building relationships with churches, chambers of commerce, schools and employers in the community. "

TMC Rincon Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) successfully performed its first Da Vinci® robotic-assisted surgical cases with Dr. Jayanth Manoharan.

The addition of this advanced robotic technology allows patients to receive minimally invasive surgical procedures in a convenient outpatient setting, expanding access to high-quality surgical care close to home.

The TMC Rincon ASC team is proud to bring this innovative technology to Southeast Tucson. This milestone represents another step forward in TMC Rincon ASC’s commitment to providing advanced, patient-centered care and expanding access to leading-edge surgical services for our community.
