Kidney Stone Update... Episode 47? I've officially lost count. 🤦🏼♀️😂
Well... apparently the pebble may have been evicted, but it left behind some squatters. 🦠
Another infection. Seriously... infection #3 since June 25th.
It seems my current stent has become a lovely little vacation resort for bacteria, so I'm starting another course of antibiotics and counting down the days until this thing is finally out.
The good news?
August 17th = STENT REMOVAL DAY‼️ 🎉
At this point, I may seriously throw it a freaking going-away party....
And because apparently my summer needed one more plot twist, I finally saw the cardiologist about the abnormal EKG's, dizziness, blood pressure issues, and weird heart flutters I've been experiencing.
My newest summer accessory?
A heart monitor for the next month.... So, yeah. This was definitely not the summer I had planned. Instead of fairs, festivals, events, clients, sound baths, adventures, and sunshine, there have been hospitals, procedures, infections, antibiotics, canceled plans, forced rest, and more doctor's appointments than I can count.
It's been frustrating. I'm exhausted. And there have definitely been moments where I've wondered when my body is finally going to catch a damn break.
But, I'm trying to stay positive.
The stone is GONE.
The stent has an eviction date.
The infection is being treated.
My heart is being monitored.
And I'm still moving forward, even if it's much slower than I'd like. I'm incredibly ready to close this chapter and start feeling like me again.
Here's hoping August 17th finally marks the beginning of the end of the Summer of the Infamous Pebble. 🪨😂❤️
