Pink Moon – April 1, 2026 🌸🌙

On April 1, the night sky will host the Pink Moon, the first full moon of spring. While it won’t actually be pink, its name comes from the small pink flowers—creeping phlox—that bloom as winter fades and the earth begins to awaken.

This Moon rises as the season changes: trees and plants start to grow again, and the world slowly shifts from the quiet of winter to the movement of spring.

It’s a perfect time to step outside, look up, and enjoy the beauty of nature. Watch the Moon’s glow illuminate the night and see the first signs of spring spreading across the land.

🌸 Fun fact: Long before calendars, people named full moons after what the land was doing. The Pink Moon marks the earth’s seasonal change and the first blooms of spring.

Tomorrow!🔴🙌🏻

Tomorrow, Earth steps between the Sun and the Moon, and for 58 minutes, our planet's shadow swallows the full Worm Moon whole. The result is a Blood Moon, one of the most striking sights the sky can offer.

🌎 North America: This is a predawn event. The partial phase begins around 3:49 a.m. CST, with totality from 5:04 to 6:02 a.m. CST. Western observers get the best view, with the red Moon hanging high in a dark sky. East Coast viewers will watch totality race against sunrise as the Moon sets in full eclipse. A genuinely rare sight.

🌏 East Asia, Australia and New Zealand: You get the prime seat. The Blood Moon rises in your evening sky on March 3, fully eclipsed and blazing red above the horizon.

The Moon turns red not because of smoke or dust, but because every sunrise and sunset happening on Earth at that moment is being bent through our atmosphere and cast onto the lunar surface.

No equipment needed. No special glasses required. Just find the Moon in the constellation Leo, look west before dawn if you're in the Americas, or east in the evening if you're in Asia or the Pacific. Bright star Regulus will be close by, about 13 degrees away, glowing blue-white against the blood-red Moon. ✨🔴🌕

This is the last total lunar eclipse for nearly three years. Don't sleep through it.

✨ It’s happening tonight.

Six worlds. One horizon. One unforgettable sky.

On February 28, the Solar System performs a rare evening parade.
Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter stretch along the ecliptic — like pearls threaded across the fading twilight.

🌕 In the east, Jupiter dominates the sky near the twins of Gemini, blazing beside a bright, nearly full Moon. It’s the anchor of the night.

🔭 Higher up in Ta**us, Uranus rests quietly beneath the Pleiades star cluster. A pair of binoculars will reveal its subtle glow.

🌅 Turn west, and the challenge begins. Venus burns brilliantly in the dying light, while Mercury and Saturn hover low near the horizon — racing against the setting Sun. Neptune lingers nearby, but only a telescope and precise timing will uncover it.

And in a single sweep of your eyes, you’re looking across billions of kilometers of space — worlds that rarely share the same stage.

Mark your calendars: March 3 is the night of the Red Moon. 🌕➡️🔴

Get ready to look up! A stunning Total Lunar Eclipse is coming, turning our bright white moon into a glowing "Blood Moon" for nearly an hour.
The eclipse will last for 58 minutes. That is nearly a full hour where the Moon will glow a ghostly copper-red color.

Why does it turn red?
During totality, the only sunlight reaching the Moon passes through Earth's atmosphere first.

This light is scattered, filtering out the blue wavelengths and leaving the red—essentially, the Moon is being illuminated by every sunrise and sunset on Earth happening all at once!
