This week, our dietitian Jen, speech therapist Jill, and Recreational Therapy team took participants on a flavorful journey to Trinidad! 🌴
Together, we explored traditional foods and got hands-on in the kitchen—starting with the challenge of peeling plantains (not as easy as it looks!). Once prepped, we sliced them and baked them with orange juice, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg for a deliciously sweet treat.
Participants also enjoyed a hearty bowl of corn and vegetable soup, a beloved Trinidadian classic.
It was a morning full of learning, laughter, and amazing flavors—we had such a fun and enriching time!
