There’s a big difference between being emotionally upset and being overstimulated. And if you’re sensitive, intuitive, introverted, anxious, or just human – too much input can make everything feel harder than it really is. Signs it might be overstimulation: you feel irritated for no clear reason, your thoughts get foggy, tiny things feel huge, you want everyone to stop talking, you suddenly need space. Try this before analyzing your whole life: get quiet, reduce input, soften your body, stop, forcing conversation, give yourself a minute to come back. Save this for the next day that feels louder than it should.
