Today, we honor those in our community and among our teammates who observe Eid al-Adha. Known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” Eid al-Adha commemorates a story of faith, devotion, and generosity, often marked by prayer, charity, and time with family.

At Blue Ridge Care, inclusion is one of our core values. We are committed to creating a culture where all traditions are respected and all people feel seen and supported.

Wishing peace, reflection, and meaningful connection to all who are celebrating. 🦋

Memorial Day is a time to pause and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Each life represents a story, a sacrifice, and a legacy that continues to shape our communities in quiet but lasting ways.

Across our community, that remembrance is reflected in powerful ways—through each flag at the Healing Field of Honor, presented by Wi******er Rotary and Navy Federal Credit Union and in the care we provide to Veterans and their families every day.

At Blue Ridge Care, we carry that legacy forward—honoring Veterans and their families with dignity, compassion, and deep gratitude.

For those who wish to gather in remembrance, we invite you to join the Healing Field of Honor Closing Ceremony:

Service doesn’t end with the uniform—it continues in the quiet, meaningful moments that follow.

We’re proud to celebrate Lt. Col. Edie McGoff-Donovan (Ret.), West Virginia Air National Guard, whose lifelong commitment to caring for others—from her career as a nurse to her continued service as a volunteer—was recently recognized with the Outstanding Veteran Volunteer Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution National Headquarters (DAR), as featured in The Wi******er Star.

Through our Veterans Program, Edie helps ensure those who served are honored with dignity at the end of life—often alongside her husband, U.S. Navy and Vietnam War veteran George Donovan.

Her story reflects the very heart of the Healing Field of Honor. As a primary beneficiary of this event, proceeds directly support the Veterans Program and the meaningful moments of recognition and care that volunteers like Edie and George help make possible. 💙

There are several ways to be part of this meaningful event—sponsor a flag, volunteer, or attend one of the ceremonies.
