We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Synthia Wilson, Goodwill Industries of Northwest, NC for inviting Arbor Care Solutions (ACS) to participate in this past Saturday’s event. We truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of such an impactful and meaningful community gathering.

Overall, I believe the event was a tremendous success, and it was evident that everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. During the event, we had the opportunity to connect with a number of vendors, engage with potential staff members, and meet individuals who may benefit from the services we provide. Opportunities like these are invaluable in helping us strengthen community partnerships while expanding awareness of our mission.

We were also grateful to have several of our ACS clients come out to support and participate in the event, which made the experience even more meaningful. Seeing our clients actively engaged in a positive community environment further reinforced the importance of creating spaces that promote connection, encouragement, and recovery support.

The theme, “Recovery is Possible,” was incredibly powerful. Hearing the personal testimonies from individuals who are currently on their recovery journey was both inspiring and a reminder of the importance of the work being done in our communities every day. Their stories reflected strength, resilience, and hope.

A special thank you as well to DJ No Shame for providing great music and helping create such an uplifting and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the event.

Thank you again to everyone involved for allowing ACS to be a part of such a memorable and impactful experience. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that bring hope, healing, connection, and positive change within our community.

World Blood Donor Day!!!

Every year countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.

A blood service that gives patients access to safe blood and blood products in sufficient quantity is a key component of an effective health system. The global theme of World Blood Donor Day changes each year in recognition of the selfless individuals who donate their blood for people unknown to them.

In recognition of Men’s Health Month and the Friday before Father’s Day, we encourage everyone to participate in Wear Blue Friday by wearing blue using our company’s liberal dress policy.

Family Health & Fitness Day!

Celebrated the second Saturday in June each year, NRPA's Family Health & Fitness Day is a special day promoting the importance of parks and recreation in keeping communities healthy and active.

On this day, park and recreation agencies everywhere are encouraged to participate by inviting families to be active and healthy at their local park or recreation center. Whether that involves hosting a special event, such as a family fun run, planning a health and wellness fair, or simply encouraging community members to engage with your local trails and facilities through your social media platforms, there are endless opportunities to be as creative and fun as you'd like with your celebration!

This annual campaign is a unique opportunity for everyone — park and recreation agencies, community members, healthcare providers, public health organizations and sponsors — to discover, embrace and share the power of well-being in communities.

This year, CNA Week 2026 is from June 11th to June 17th. With the theme of “We’re Unbelievable” NAHCA created this for CNAs and for the skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities, and staffing and home health agencies they work for so that everyone can celebrate, recognize, and pay their respects to the incredible work that the nearly 1 million-strong contingent of frontline heroes does everyday for elders and people with disabilities.

🎉 What an AMAZING time we had at the Swirl Event this past Saturday! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to Berni and the entire Swirl Family for allowing us to set up our tent, connect with the community, and speak with so many wonderful prospective clients. We truly appreciate the opportunity!

It was incredible seeing so many organizations come together to support the Lexington community, including Wake Forest Baptist Health, Monarch, Alpha Pregnancy Care Center, Paparazzi/Tupperware, Joyful Hope, CaffeNation Station Food Truck, LifePoint Church, and Assurance Group. Your dedication to serving others is inspiring!

Special shoutout to our AWESOME team—Shaunta, Maria, and Stacey—for representing our organization and connecting with potential new clients throughout the day. Your hard work, energy, and passion did not go unnoticed!
