You have been there for me through every Zoom call, every spreadsheet and every lunch eaten over the keyboard.

But I need more. I need a meeting room that is not also where we eat dinner. I need people to talk to who are not the dog. I need a door that closes.

Networking events have a reputation. Name tags, warm w**e and someone cornering you about their crypto idea for what feels like a week.

US$581.7 billion...that is how much companies around the world put into AI in 2025, more than double the year before.

A few more numbers from the 2026 Stanford AI Index that stopped us:

🌍 Generative AI reached 53% of the world's population in three years. The personal computer and the internet both took longer.
🇸🇬 Singapore leads on adoption at 61%. The UAE sits at 54%.
🇺🇸 The United States, home of most of the money, ranks 24th at 28.3%.

And the number nobody puts on a brochure. In McKinsey's 2026 State of AI survey, only 37% of respondents could point to any impact on profit from AI.

So the money is real and the results are patchy. Most businesses are spending on AI without knowing whether it is paying them back.
