Palliative Care Australia (PCA) says questions about aged care assessments highlight a fundamental issue: whether people with serious and life-limiting illness are getting timely access to the care they need.

PCA CEO Dr Chris Hatherly says any system determining access to aged care must be based on a comprehensive understanding of the needs of the individual.

Today, we celebrate the people at the heart of aged care.

The people who hold hands, share stories, offer reassurance and show up, day after day, with compassion and kindness.

To our team at PACCS, thank you for sharing your knowledge, compassion and experience so generously. The work you do has a lasting impact on the people you support, their families and the teams around you.

We’re proud to work alongside so many passionate people who share the same goal: enhancing quality of life through great care.

Happy Aged Care Employee Day. 🤍
