Most people have heard of MTHFR. Far fewer understand that methylation is not one gene, one supplement, or one isolated pathway.
It is a connected biological system. The folate cycle, methionine cycle and transsulfuration pathway work together to influence how the body handles methyl donors, homocysteine, antioxidant production, neurotransmitter balance, detoxification and cellular repair.
That is why looking at one variant in isolation can be misleading.
