Today, on International Youth Day, we're shining a light on the incredible young people, youth workers, and organisations making a difference across Western Australia.
This year, 39 inspiring finalists have been recognised in the 2026 WA Youth Awards, championing a diverse range of causes including mental health, disability advocacy, youth participation, community leadership, and social inclusion.
We're excited to celebrate our friends at the Youth Disability Advocacy Network - YDAN, who have been named finalists for The Y WA Collective Action Award. YDAN is WA's peak body for young people with disability and Australia's only youth-led Disabled People's Organisation, empowering young people with disability to have a strong voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
At Kiind, we are proud to support and celebrate children and young people as they grow, learn, advocate, and reach their full potential. International Youth Day is a reminder of the value, leadership, and contributions of young people with disability in our communities, and the importance of creating opportunities for them to thrive.
Congratulations to all of the 2026 WA Youth Awards finalists. Thank you for the passion and positive change you are creating for young people across our state.
