Book week is here!

So, we’re celebrating something that holds a very special place in our play spaces… story books 📚💛

Books are so much more than just a heap of words on a page. They can help children to explore big feelings, discover new ideas, spark their imagination, and create special moments of connection.

From silly stories that can bring laughter, to gentler books that open the door to harder conversations, every child can find a story that feels extra special to them.

So this Book Week, we’re celebrating the magic of stories, the giggles, conversations, and the memories they can create 💛

One of our favourite ways to explore emotion and creativity, because there’s no “right” way to use it.

The magic happens in the creating.

Children can squish, roll, mould, build, and create whatever their imagination brings to life.

Through this form of play, they can explore their emotions, practise decision making, and discover their own unique ways to communicate through play.

A safe space helps little minds flourish 💛

At Every Step, we work hard to create a safe space where children feel seen, heard, and understood.

But creating that sense of safety doesn’t stop when our session ends. The little moments at home matter too 🏡

Taking time to connect, listen, and offer reassurance can help children feel supported as they navigate their emotions, big or small.

Because when children feel safe, they flourish at a positive pace.
