Planet Botanix in Centretown is hiring! Looking to add someone to the team for a customer service position, working Fridays (days). It’s a minimum wage role, with the chance to pick up extra shifts here and there.

The day-to-day: helping customers (always the top priority), cash handling and POS, some cleaning, and keeping on top of inventory. There may also be short stretches alone in the shop, like covering an hour or filling in during a break, so being comfortable with that is a plus.

Good fit for anyone wanting something flexible around school, another job, or just fewer hours overall. And yes, it’s a wellness shop, but there’s still real work to do (we promise it’s not all deep breaths and candles).

Learn how to make your own lotions, creams, and salves/balms from scratch in this hands-on workshop. We’ll cover the difference between balms, creams, and lotions, how to choose the right carrier oils, herbal infusions, beeswax and emulsifiers, skin-supportive herbs like calendula and lavender, and safe essential oil use.

You’ll make a light lotion, a rich cream, and a customizable salve, plus take home an info package.

Perfect for anyone curious about natural skincare, herbalism, or making their own gifts and personal care products.

Note: essential oils must be used diluted and with care. Some are not suitable during pregnancy or may cause skin sensitivity. Consult a healthcare professional if unsure.

Date & Time: Saturday, September 26 , 3pm PM – 5:30 PM
Location: Planet Botanix, 301 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON

Take your tarot practice beyond the basics in this intermediate workshop designed for readers who already understand the fundamentals of the Major and Minor Arcana.

Tarot 102 explores some of the layers that can add greater depth, nuance, and confidence to your readings. You’ll learn how to work with reversed cards, incorporate astrology and numerology, and approach more complex tarot spreads without becoming overwhelmed.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who has completed Tarot 101 or already has a basic understanding of tarot and wants to strengthen their interpretation skills.

What you’ll learn

Reversed cards — how to interpret reversals and understand how they can shift, challenge, or deepen a card’s meaning

Astrology tarot — an introduction to the astrological correspondences found throughout the tarot

Numerology — how numbers create patterns and themes within the Minor Arcana and across a reading

Tarot spreads — how to work with larger and more detailed spreads, understand card positions, and connect multiple cards into a cohesive message

What to bring

A tarot deck is required. Bring the deck you are most comfortable reading with.

Don’t have one yet, or looking for a new deck? Participants receive 20% off all in-store tarot decks on the day of the workshop.

Participants receive $15 off a 30-minute intuitive tarot reading with Lucien (just $55).
