We have noticed a recent rise in students leaving practice 5-10 (sometimes 15) minutes before the end of class…
Now we realise life is busy, but by leaving before class has finished, you are skipping the most important part of the entire practice; the landing, recalibration and the Rest.
This isn’t a ‘nice to have’, it is the whole point of everything that came before it.
Equally, if you haven’t communicated to your teacher at the beginning of class that you need to leave early, it is extremely distracting, both for the teacher and the other practitioners, when someone just ups and leaves.
If you have suddenly felt unwell, or overwhelmed - that is one thing and we understand, sometimes we can’t stay for these reasons, and that is more than valid, however please communicate this to your teacher first.
What we ask moving forwards, as an agreement of mutual respect, both for the other students, the teacher and the practice is:
💫if you feel unwell, please signal to your teacher and let them know, before you leave.
💫If you are joining a class and you know that on this one occasion you need to leave a couple of minutes early to get somewhere, please tell your teacher BEFORE the class starts. Then set yourself up by the door with your belongings somewhere that you can access them without having to walk through the studio twice to get you bag and leave
💫if you have a personal engagement booked that means you would have to leave a class 10-15 minutes before the end, please book onto a class that works for your schedule.
Thank you for honouring these boundaries in order for us to keep the energetic container we create within our sessions undisturbed and full of magic 🧡
