Susan De Muynck Abdominal-Sacral Massage Practitioner Abdominal-Sacral Massage. Now Scientists call the guts “the second brain”! With more neuron endings than the brain.

I have been a massage practitioner for 20 years and came across Abdominal-Sacral massage after a trip to Belize where I received this treatment myself . As like most things it was by my own direct experience that I found a massage therapy that helped me and so wanted to learn and explore more about it to be able to share it with others

The abdomen is so often ignored in quite a few massage therap

ies it is an area that is least touched! It is a gentle, relaxing massage that works on both the sacral area and your abdomen from just under your ribs down towards your pubic bone. Treatments start with you receiving the lumbar, sacral and gluteal massage. We are mostly comfortable with receiving back massages, and by starting here, you will have time to relax, slow down and become accustomed to my energy and touch.Although it is a great massage for both men and women , for women it has the added bonus of releasing any muscular/fascia restrictions in the abdomen that maybe affecting your uterus and ovaries. It is of great benefit for those having trouble with fertility I will discuss your fertility journey, and any emotional aspects that may arise, which will then be followed by a full fertility massage treatment. It is a great way to get in touch with your this area of your body. Colonic Irrigation has been the traditional way of cleansing the colon. But now a deep colon detox massage has the same effect but achieves it in a much more pleasant and enjoyable way. Manipulating the intestines will get your digestion working at its best and would be a great tonic with which to start your Springtime. The massage stimulates the colon and awakens the muscles that control the peristalsis movement of the colon - the body's own natural way of moving waste through the colon. It helps loosen hardened debris that has been living in the gut for years and encourages a natural movement."This is one of the most powerful forms of massage available. The stomach is a very personal area and where a lot of emotion is carried. The treatment is always carried out with the utmost care, attention and respect.

From the Royal College of Nursing .

“Women have long been seen as at the mercy of their biology.

In the ancient medical world it was believed that a 'wandering womb' caused suffocation and death. Menstruation and pregnancy were thought to make women the weaker s*x, both physically and mentally. By the late nineteenth century, it was deemed scientifically proven that women’s biology made them less rational than men, unfit to participate in many areas of public life.
Rising above these attitudes, a century ago, women began securing the right to vote in the UK. Around the same time, nursing was formalised as a predominantly female profession. Since then, nurses have taken a leading role in challenging assumptions of women’s health.
Yet myths and misconceptions remain widespread. Social changes continue to alter women’s biology, as they start periods earlier and live longer beyond the menopause. What is ‘normal’ for women? And why has women’s health long been considered 'dirty' nursing'?
Did you know: Gynaecology is a Greek term literally meaning 'the study of women'. And hysteria is derived from 'hystera' meaning womb. This linguistic association between women’s health and hysteria is still in use today in the term hysterectomy.”

Abdominal massage can help you get in touch with your womb space .

New research finds that the ovaries of old mice become infiltrated with immune cells and may secrete immune signals into the body.

The consequences of these changes aren’t clear, but a similar transformation in humans could have health implications after menopause.
