Health depends on the dynamic balance between yin (rest, nourishment) and yang (movement, activity).
When these are regulated, the body functions with greater ease.
Life is about balance, make sure you are allowing yourself all of these.

Emotions influence organ function.
Stress affects the Liver, worry impacts the Spleen, fear harms the Kidneys, while loneliness restricts the Lungs and sadness can weaken the Heart.
Regulating emotions is a key part of a traditional Chinese medicine trained acupuncturist such as myself.

As the saying goes 'a drop of prevention is better than a bucket full of cure'.

Chinese medicine emphasises prevention. Addressing early signs of imbalance, regulating your lifestyle, and supporting your emotional health can reduce the likelihood of chronic patterns of disharmony developing within your body.

The body shifts with the seasons.
Supporting these transitions — warming in winter, circulating in spring, cooling in summer, refining in autumn — helps maintain long term balance and resilience.

I'm so grateful for the wonderful community of holistic & complementary practitioners that attend shares, such as yesterday's.
It's hard to put into words how fantastic these days are.
For me I get to share my passions with others, I get to learn from other talented healers, I'm able to have aha moments and get tips on areas that may be good for me to look into. On top of that I also get to receive beautiful, wonderful healing from these amazing individuals and come away feeling great.

Yesterday included discussions about blood types, digestion, structural assessments, research, being your authentic self, working on confidence and more.
The holistic therapies on offer included sound healing, emmett technique, myofascial technique, acupuncture, holy fire reiki and seichem reiki.

I can't wait for the next date 😊

I thought I'd share a bit of what I do, with all of you lovely lot, so you can gain a little insight into a holistic practitioner's world.

This week I've been working with clients offering Reiki, Acupuncture and Massage.
Areas that we have been working on together range from menstruation, tension and pain in the shoulders, fibromyalgia, pain in one side of the body and nerve issues.

I've been doing more in-depth study into the Chong Mai, one of the 8 extraordinary vessels, and it's link with digestive issues, so I can offer a more comprehensive approach to digestion with acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

I also got ducks 🦆😍
Meet Jemimah, Bellamy and Maia my slug gobblers so I can grow more successful veg 🤞, collect lovely eggs from and just generally enjoy their antics.

If you've got any questions for me, ask away.
Happy Saturday everyone x
